BB Cream?

What is BB cream? It seems a bunch of brands are selling them now. What are the benefits? Has anyone used them? Any good brands to try?

It's kind of an all in one moisturizer and tinted cream. You can use it by itself or with your makeup, but it helps to even out your skin tone and hide blemishes etc.

I used it for our engagement pictures and it was awesome! Just make sure you don't use too much of it because it can feel really thick on. I used the Garnier BB Cream in the Medium color...it was about $11 @ Walmart.

I use garniers bb cream and really like it. It has SPF, and just evens out and brightens my skin tone. I've never been able to find an every day foundation that I like and had been using tinted moisturizers. This is good for me because it has a little bit more coverage than the moisturizers. Garniers is usually about 810 bucks depending on where you buy it. You only need to use maybe a dime size amount I probably use even less than that.

I didn't like the garnier one- it's thicker and easy to get mask-like. the smashbox one is amaaaaaazing. It's basically a tinted moisturizer with sunscreen and things to fight wrinkles/fine lines/sagging skin.

Yeah, Garnier is the cheapest one on the market. It made my skin look really shiny. I will probably invest in a higher end brand soon because I've heard great things about BB creams. There was a thread about them a few weeks ago on here.

Ditto the smashbox one--I had tried the Garnier one, and it was ok, but left my skin more oily looking than I wanted (so I always had to use powder on top). The Smashbox one is awwwwesome and holds up well throughout the day too.

I was very disappointed in the Garnier one. It seemed to be gone by the end of the day and I felt like I broke out more. I need to look into the other brands.

I'm going to have to check out the Smashbox one as well...they always have great products, and since you wont be using too much of it at once, it should balance out the price with the use you would get out of it, right?

I use the Dr Jart+ one, and I love it. I have few blemishes, so I don't need a lot of coverage, but it just provides a very nice even canvas for everything else. Helps me look just a bit more put together. I have dry skin, so I still moisturize and sometimes prime before I apply it or my face gets flakey.

I also really like the Garnier BB cream. It does an awesome job at evening out skin tone and I love that you can apply it in 2 seconds with your fingers and it has SPF in it.

The only negative I would mention (for me at least) is that if you have oily skin or are prone to getting shiny this will only amplify it. Every time I use it, I have to set it with powder and touch up throughout the day otherwise I look super shiny

I've used the Two-Faced BB cream, and it's a bit dewy for someone with combo skin like me, but I love it. The difference between a tinted moisturizer and a BB cream is that, BB is supposed to improve your skin overall. It was originally invented for post-surgery skin I guess.

Western brand BB creams are just tinted moisturizer but a lot of the Asian ones are more full coverage like foundation. The texture is amazing, though, and the right shade can make your skin look natural and healthy. Check out amazon, misshaUS.com, prettyandcute.com and sasa.com. missha is probably a great place to start since they have the biggest range in shades for Asian BB cream. Some BB creams can be awful to your skin. Lioele broke me out really bad. Other brands like Enprani, though, actually seems to help my skin.
