Good morning.

We had the best weekend EVER with my brother and SIL, and their surprise visit for my birthday. The hard part is coming back to Earth and ordinary life. I could really get used to living a pampered life.

Yay for Mr. JCB! Is the job OOT? Travel involved?

I tried a new recipe last night, buffalo chicken casserole found it on pintrest. It turned out really well!!!

Probably not. He was joking yesterday about 'so, what are we going to do for your birthday?'. There will be treats at work (we sign up to bring goodies on each other's birthdays), and I have a few gifts to open. That will probably be enough after our three-day indulgence.

I can't do super spicy dishes so I substitutes actual hot sauce for the budwiser buffalo wing sauce, and It was really good. and the FI just added more to it. It was really good- My reccomendation tho is to fry the chicken before hand and then add it to the potatoes and the cheese and bacon then. it'll take alot less time :)

Sorry you're day is so crappy Shay. Unexpected expenses like that make me super stressed too.

Do you have a smaller dog- we thought our jack russell did this(thankfully she didnt) tho our quote was only 1500, maybe shop around? I know that sounds funny but some vets are obnoxiously more expensive then others!

I'm jealous- I just got my lunch out of the fridge at work( remembered I left it over the weekend) and it was leftovers from last tuesday that were good when I brought them- not so much now :(

Oh we are definitely shopping around. We have two more consults schedule for tomorrow. She weighs 55lbs so she definitely isn't considered a small dog. The problem with shopping around though, is so many places we've found charge $100-150 just for the stupid consult and that definitely adds up quickly.

Today is Monday, ugh! I have so much to keep up on, my CW will be out this week, she starts her radiation this week. SO, I'm working the Fall Festival on Sunday. It's fun handing out candy and seeing the kids. H will be here to take pictures for me, we'll probably do some shopping after.

He made a great pot of chili last night, just what you want to eat while you watch Zombies!

Aw, Shay, I totally get where you're coming from. It's tough, especially when everything seems to hit at once. Vent away!

I still don't like this job, but have a chance at another one, doing what I love. I do like the staff here though, so I'd still hate to leave. We'll see. I should know something by Friday.

We're into assessments now, so my schedule is totally random. Add to that the number of kids who have access to specialized testing (being read to, using computers etc) and they totally refuse to use it, then the parents get mad when the kid fails. Frustrating!!!

*sigh

I do have pie at home, so I'm looking forward to that!

Thanks for letting me vent guys. I have this weird need to be positive at home with H so he doesn't get down abouti t, so sometimes it's nice to just be able to vent.

KD I made chili last night, too (and just ate some for lunch today)! What did you think about last night's episode? I have been watching videos during lunch about what's in store this season and I think it's going to be pretty awesome **nerd**!!

Jcb, she's 5 years old. We were all set to do the surgery as opposed to medicinal therapy, but now I think we might try the route of therapy first (depending on if the consults think we have a real chance for it to be successful). We just feel so bad because we don't want her to think she's being punished when she can't go run around with the other two. We're basically retraining her to be a completely inside dog, with just being outside on a leash. I feel like if we speak in a positive tone to her when the others go outside and take her tons of walks and baby her a little bit she won't feel like she's being punished. I hope, anyway.

I'm sorry, Shay. That's tough. Nala's TPLO surgeries were $3,000 each for her torn ACL/meniscus. One in January, then the other in November. We were hoping for more time inbetween them. {{hugs}}

kd, I don't think they've gotten into it yet. I thought I missed something as well, but I don't think they've really gone into why he is so cold towards her. I mean, aside from the fact that's she's annoying Lori lol.

True! And I'm thinking we missed something, I mean she told Hershel that he hated her but wouldnt admit it. Was it because of how she reacted when he told her about Shane and they are all carriers?
