Hi,

Question for everyone...has anyone ever done dyable shoes? I'm thinking of navy blue shoes but havn't seen something i like that combines low/non spiky heal and the color. How do the shoes work? Do you dye them yourselves/how does the color hold if they get wet?

I'm no help in the dyable shoes department but if you want to let me know your budget, heel height, open/closed toe I can do a little hunting online for ya.

I got dyeable shoes when I was in high school for a dance and to be honest it wasn't worth it. The company I bought them from did it and it was expensive. As PP said lok online for shoes. I bought mine off of DSW and the heel I bought was low.

I've never done it. Check the DIY board, they are really helpful.

I've heard of the dye rubbing off if your feet sweat or they get wet some other way. Like PP said, I'd pose this question on the DIY board.

I had my homecoming shoes dyed by the end of night the dye was running. My color was light purple not too noticeable

I've had dyed shoes. You have to get them dyed at a cobbler. I never had a problem with the dye coming off until I wore them to a wedding in the middle of a snowstorm... stepped right into two feet of snow... poor shoes... poor feet!

I want blue shoes so I def. don't want dyeables because I have heard horror stories. Still on the hunt for the perfect shoes though.

I've never had dyeable shoes so I am no help. Sorry! But I have heard horror stories about them.

Oh, yeah those are scary/exactly why I'm worried about dyables! I've found some pictures online of shoes I like, but I'm usually pretty picky about fit. I guess I'll just have to order from a returnable place.

So those might be options. I'd like at least .5 in heal cause FI is 6 or so inches taller then me, I just don't want something spiky, and I have issues walking in Wedges. I have a feeling finding the shoes will be harder then finding the dress
