    I agree.<div>
    </div><div>But since you asked for a cheaper videographer, I'd look into True2Life (<a href="http://www.true2lifemn.com)" rel="nofollow">www.true2lifemn.com)</a> or use Wedit.</div>

  • I'd be careful about telling somebody else what is and is not a "must have" for their wedding. Unless you are directly asked, are paying the wedding bill, or it is your own wedding, is it really any of your business?

There was a discussion on this very board about a month ago (you could probably search for it) about whether a videographer was a "must have", and it was certainly not the consensus that it was.

If it was me, I would just simply tell the bride that (if this is the case) that I enjoyed having a wedding video and why that was the case. It is up to her what to do with that information.
  • Not having a videographer is the BIGGEST regret of my own wedding.  :(
Check out videographer options here.  You can sort by price.

  • Thanks for the links of place. BTW me and my best friend (THE BRIDE) have talked about it and  a videographer  is a must have for her wedding.. we are looking into it so thanks everyone for links:)
  • Everyone has different "must haves" for thier wedding, and interprets the concept of "must have" differently. I can't tell you how amazing it was to see the 1940s video footage from my late grandmother's wedding. Having a video of your wedding may not be something you want, but your grandchildren may cherish it.

As someone who is also looking for a very basic budget-friendly videographer, here are some other ideas on finding one: you can also post an ad on Craig's List, post flyers at the UMN, MCAD, College of Visual Arts, Art Institute Academy, MCTC, Normandale Community College, the bulletin boards by Co-Ops like the Wedge, coffee shops, etc. etc. You might get lucky if you look for someone who has only done 1 or 2 weddings, or who has only worked as a second shooter at a wedding. If you don't have very high standards, and just want raw footage and someone who can hold a camera more steady than your Aunt Mildred, then a newbie videographer may be just what suits you.
  • We found one! Thank you very much!

Can I ask how much they ended up being?  A videographer is something we're trying to squeeze into the budget as well.
    Thanks
