Houston Area Venue Ideas

Hello!  My BFF and her FI have decided that they HAVE to get married on 11.11.11 at 11 a.m. (they are being flexible on the time).  For such a popular date this is crazy short notice.  They have a very small budget and would like something that is outdoors... and DIY.  FI is a wine rep and wouldn't trust a venue to handle food and wine.  LOL.  They wanted the Rob Fleming Park in The Woodlands... but it's already booked for that day.  But something along those lines if any of y'all are familiar with it.
FI has already vetoed Ravin Lodge in Huntsville.
They are wanting to spend no more than 1000 on the venue.
I would love any suggestions!

They'll definitely have to spend more than $1,000, especially for such a popular date and it being a Friday. But they should check out Crystal Sprins in Magnolia. Very beautiful outdoor space and indoor site for reception. Everything is DIY and you can bring in your own vendors. I'm getting married there in April and am so excited! Martha will help you with anything you need! www.crystalsprings.ws.

I don't know if it suits them, but Houston Farm & Ranch Club might be available. They charge $1200 for the rental, and they allow outside catering. Liquor can be brought in, but beer and wine have to be purchased through them due to their contracts.

Also try Northwest Forest Conference Center. The Townhall was $1000 if I remember correctly.

Chateau at Midtown allows outside catering and drinks, but they don't have an outside area. When I looked there, I got the impression that they had availability. It's a great budget option very close to downtown.

Patio on Mercer is almost entirely outside, but doesn't have greenery. I think they might be available as well. They cost a lot though. :/

    Jessie,
Thanks so much for the info. I sent emails to several of the places you suggested. Hopefully I will find something soon.

Theresas place in Conroe/woodlands is amazing as well!!! Not sure if they are booked that day. But just to have ceremony outside, they have a goreous gazebo, and I think it's 650... But that doesn't include the reception... Hope this helps!!!
