  nothing you can do except try different ones... have you really checked out pricing on real vs silk..?  because I ahve found real to be less in most cases of single stem use...

  By want them in water do you mean submersed in the water? If so maybe these?

  Shock them.... I had this problem with the silks that I'm using for our centrepieces (see my bio). What I did was soak them overnight in ice cold water (I mean I had ice floating in it) and then let them dry. After that I had no problems. Its kinda like when you get clothes and they run when you first wash them
