lets talk engagement pics!!

      So I'm in such a happy and great mood!! We took our engagment pics on my birthday which was on October 7th. Our session was done at the pumpkin patch and it was soooo much fun and such a memorable experience! I picked the pumpin patch because I love going there and love love love the fall and I couldnt think of a more perfect place to have our special pics taken at. After our session we stayed at the patch a bit longer and bought a couple  pumpkins and a couple other goodies. We than picked up some food after and went home to eat and watch the game together. During the game he wanted me to lay down and cuddle with him on the couch warm under the blanket and well of course we got sooo comfy that we both ended up knocking out for a couple hours.I was super tired and exhausted from such a busy weekend so the nap was long over due. It was such a great nap we all know how snuggle time is the absolute best =) When we woke up I was soooo ecstatic to see that the photographer posted a mini preview of our session on my facebook! I love the pics shes posted so far. She did such an amazing job and has a true talent. We than freshened up and he took me out to eat at a great new place that opened up that  I had been wanting to try. Too bad they didnt have drinks there cause we wanted to toast to our great day and how much we love each other. We than went home after dinner went to rent a movie at the video store popped the movie in the dvd player poured us a couple drinks and had a great time being happy together and cuddling =) To top the night off she ended up posting another pic at the end of the night that we both loved alot!
      So lets here it girls!! I love reading and hearing these kinds of stories =) How did your session go?  Where were they done at or where will they be done at? Lets hear all about the day your pics were taken. If you don't mind me asking of course. I figured it would be a fun and cute topic for us girls to talk and gush about. And for you ladies that haven't had them done yet I promise your going to have sooo much fun and it's gonna be a day to always remember with your hubby to be =)=) Oh and please forgive my spelling I just got home from work not long ago and I'm getting tired now even though I know I won't knock out anytime soon. lol

    We had ours done on the same day you did. We did two different parks. Not really much to say. We waited until now for it to be more fall-ish. So far from what Ive seen I like them for the most part. They just kind of gave me a reality check on definitely needing to go to the gym. Thanks for sharing your experience.

    We haven't got ours done yet, I think we are going to wait until spring and get family pics/ engagement pics done at a local park. I can't imagine our day being as romantic as yours though. I picture two little girls breaking down crying over not waiting to get their pictures taken ;) I'm jealous!

    Ours are Sunday!  We wanted to do them with the pretty leaves...  I'm so excited, only I have a huge zit right on the front of my face that's not going away!  So hopefully a miracle happens and it magically shrinks.  Sigh...

    This is a sore spot for me right now. While we had a fantastic time doing our photos, I am pretty peeved at our photographer for the delay in getting any photos back to us. It's been a month and a half, and I was told 2 weeks for some, 4 weeks for all of the photos. I know she's been busy, but I am getting pretty annoyed by the lack of communication. She sent me one photo when I bugged her that I wanted to get the save the dates done, and she sent me one that I wasn't crazy about. Sigh. Just continuing to wait...

    Our engagement pictures are scheduled for October 27th.  We're planning on being outdoors with all the gorgeous fall colors.  There is a park nearby that is the highest point in our city and has a beautiful overlook.  I plan on HOPEFULLY having them taken there.  I'm REALLY looking forward to it.  Despite our lack of effort in trying to lose weight prior to the pictures being taken we just have to accept ourselves for the way we are.  We're going to do three outfit changes, but we haven't figured out the third just yet. I'm having an issue trying to hold back from buying something new.  BUT I REALLY WANT TO BUY NEW CLOTHES!!  :-)

    Holy crap that is a long time!  I'd say something...say you have a busy time at work approaching and you need to get the STDs out

    We took our engagement photos August 28th at our venue so our photographer could get a good look at the place for our wedding pictures!  We had a blast!! At first the photos were really posed and stiff looking but once we loosened up they started to look amazing!! Our venue is at a golf course so we got to ride around on golf carts and just have fun! Actually our favorite picture is of us in the golf cart! Now that we know what to do for our wedding photos they are going to turn out amazing!!

    We took our e-pics on Labor Day in the city (downtown Pittsburgh). It was supposed to rain that day so the night before, I drank more than I should have thinking we would have to cancel the pictures. Well, it turned out to be a gorgeous, HOT day...and I was semi-hungover, but suprisingly, you cant tell at all in our photos LOL. My FI and I are sort of shy so I was really impressed with how comfortable our photographer made us feel. I know she will do a great job for our wedding!

    I also second the Dec Siggy being our fave pics !!!

    I'd most likely be out for Dec sig challenge - FI's schedule is really starting to p*ss me off.  I'm DYING to get them done at Longwood Gardens -where we got engaged- because fall is freaking beautiful there, but I doubt we'll have the time.

    I love seeing everyone else's though!  Keep 'em coming :)

    Sounds like a great idea... it would be nice to see everyone.

    FI gifted me professional pictures last year (way before we were engaged) that looked like engagement shots (and made everyone think we were engaged as the photographer, a family friend, "accidently" leaked it on facebook and his siblings who love to joke around started replying "congrats")... it was a whole debacle...

    We just took some in Sept (mainly for the STD and cardboxes) with FI's father... and I really like them.

    I don't think we're going to take any with our wedding photographer...

    We are most likely not getting any taken. We atill need to find a photographer, so maybe if it's included with the package we pick we might take some.

    We did however get a weekend alone back in August up near a beach in Michigan. I brought my tripod with, and with the help of the timer, we managed to get a few pictures that we like. (It's really hard to get fun angles and shots without a third person) I think we are going to use one for our STDs.

    We have gotten the first round of our engagement pictures taken already but, my future sister in law is a professional photographer so we are getting a few fall pictures taken on Tuesday and a few more in the spring :)

    We bougt a house 4 months ago and I wanted some pics to put up on the wall. So i told FH that I wanted to get our pics done at the coast and had foud a really good deal so we set up a weekend to go with some friends and have fun as well as have pics done. Turns out he proposed so ours ended up being proposal/engagement pics I was not expecting it I was so suprised I will never forget that day

    He picked a spot over looking the water the weather was perfect that day Kiss

    Our engagement photo shoot went very well. We did it on Spetember 23 at Morris Arboretum in Philadelphia, PA. It was 2 hours long with one outfit change. The weather was PERFECT with a few fluffly clouds in the blue sky. We had no problem with the PDA thing, it was just a lot of fun! We just got the pictures back a week ago and we love them! We made save-the-dates on weddingpaperdivas.com, which I got 20% for belonging to Costco.

    We just had our e-pics shoot on Saturday and it was so much fun!  Since we're getting married at a countryside BnB, we took our e-pics in the heart of the city.  I gave our photographer some recs but let her run with it.  And run with it she did!  We zipped all over town, taking pics at different interesting murals, a bustling train station, a merry-go-round, and then we finished at park on a pier at sunset.  And making the day even better was the fact that one of my bridesmaids was in town for the weekend and was able to tag along.

    Our photographer said she'll have a blog post ready on her site in a week. We can't wait!!!
