  I still haven't broached the subject to my FMIL.  I've never seen her in anything but shirts and jeans so I'm so afraid!  I know I'm not suppose to tell her what to wear but I'm concerned.  Did you ask your FMIL or did she ask you?

  Very nice! My FMIL asked me what she was supposed to wear when I was showing her what dresses the BMs picked and I just told her something that made her comfortable and feel beautiful. She says she has an idea of what she wants but doesn't plan on going shopping until later in the summer when the fall styles come out.

  i was very concerned most of the time she is very put together and looks great but she also can go over the top <often /> i was not worried about her being under dressed more like outrageously over the top! my mom passed away when 15 years ago , fmil only has 2 sons so she is trying to be very involved in the planning since she didnt get to be with fi's brother!i didnt ask her or  anything ... i just silently worried about it! maybe you can ask if she wants company when she goes and steer her in the direction you want her to go!

  FMIL went to this super expensive dress store and ordered it--- apparently it wont be in until the end of august! if thats the case i am so glad she went when she did!

  Nice!  I'm nervous about FMIL.  She's not had an opinion about anything really on the whole wedding.  I think she's all butthurt that we didn't make some huge announcement when we got married.  3 years and a kid later we didn't think it was necessary.... LOL.
