You are a guest staying with friends for a few nights.  In the guest bedroom where you are sleeping there is a milk crate in the corner filled with old notebooks, letters and other mememtos of your host's youth.

    Thanks for the responses.  Although there aren't any terrible secrets in there, some of it is embarassing to say the least.  The box may have to sit on top of some shoes, but it is coming out of the guest room.

    There is a novel in there.  I am not kidding.  My friend and I wrote alternating chapters.  It is about a 15 year old fashion designer living alone in NY and dating soap opera stars.
