Registry

Okay i heard u arent suppose to send them with the invitations so when do u send them? and should i register is this is our 5 yr renewal? Most of the ppl coming either didnt get us a gift at first or werent invited to the first one! Like i have said millions of times our 1st wedding was HORRIBLE! NO pictures and we got 3 gifts!  But i wont dwell on that any longer.... Thanx in advanced for your help!

I'm sorry about your first wedding.  I hope this renewal will be the wedding of your dreams! :)

You're right, it's not proper etiquette to send them with the invitations.  The best way to spread the news is word of mouth.  People should ask you, you and H's parents, MOH, and bridal party.  Also, another good way is to create a wedding website that has all the info listed there.  We did this and then referenced the website on our invitations.

But, yes!  I would definitely register even though it's not your first wedding.  It's free and it doesn't hurt.  That way you don't end up with 100 picture frames. :-P

Eh, it's not proper etiquette to send registry information in with the invitations, but I can tell you almost every wedding I've been invited to has included the registry information. Honestly, I think its helpful. I actually included the registry information in our invites, and I still have people asking me where we are registered. I'm having a small wedding of close friends and family, so I guess it will come down to if you feel comfortable doing that.

BB&B sends information cards out as courtesy, and are meant to be sent with invitations. But of course, you don't have to.

I got those cards from BBB and Macy's and they ended up going in the trash.  Unless you plan on having a bridal shower and include them with those invitations I wouldn't send them with the actual wedding invitations.

I would register around 6 months out.  That way it gives you time to tweak stuff online if you forgot something you really wanted, etc.  We waited until about 2-3 months before and were fine though.  We also chose 3 stores just to give people a variety.
