How Many to Order?

We are inviting just over 200 people, and I'm wondering how many programs I should order.  I know that not every person will take one, but I don't want to run out either. Friends who have gotten married in the past told me that when they acounted for one program per guest, they had A LOT left over.

In addition, I'm wondering how many favors to get.  We are not doing favors that will be placed at each person's seat.  Rather, we are doing a photobooth, and next to the photobooth we will have plastic bookmark sleeves with tassels so that people can turn their photostrip into a bookmark.  Again, I'm wondering how many sleeves to order, as not every guest will use the photobooth, and not everyone who uses the photobooth will want to take a bookmark sleeve.

How many programs/favors are you ladies ordering in relation to your total guest count?

Re: How Many to Order?

  • as for the favors....I would think that one for each guest might not be a bad idea, because though some people won't partake, others might want to make more than one....just a thought though.  200 people, wow....congratulaions and good luck  I drew the line at 80, I can't imagine how stressful 200 would be
  • I found a cite when i was looking at program fans and the girl gave you instructions to diy or buy from if you didnt have the time. But she had on the website to order enough/make  for 2/3rds of your guests.

Ive debated the same thing although i have not got to making mine yet. So i think that does sound a good estimate. If you run out its not the end of the world. I didnt get one at one of my friends weddings last year.

  • I'm printing my own programs, and waiting until I have RSVPs back to do so. I'm anticipating that this number will probably be doing 1 program per invitation with about 20% extra. So figure 200 people = about 100 invitations, so 120 programs? Not sure how accurate that will be, but it at least gives a ballpark figure to shoot for.
  • I did photo booth frames and did half of the number of people. One per couple. We are inviting 200 and will do 50 programs. Not everyone comes to the church and you only need one per couple. Figure 100 couples but not everyone will even attend so half that is fine with me. They don't need one so I'd rather not waste money on extra. My graphic designer said be very conservative with the number.
  • We are likely printing our own programs, and making our favors so we will be waiting until we get our RSVPs back.  I have no clue how many we will be doing, probably 1 per couple, a few per family (because I know kids will want their own program).
