    Thats horrible that something like that happened on her wedding day!  But I certianly don't think that using this as an example is a good excuse to have your guests open their wallets by paying for their own drinks.  People who are going to drink too much are going to do it on your dime or their own--and frankly, the bartender should have cut them off before it got to that point.
