Just saw Il Villaggio in Carlstadt NJ on the TLC show Four Weddings. Im having my wedding there Nov. 2011 and I got so excited to see the cocktail hour, reception and viennese hour with the flame show. So exciting!!

    I am also getting married at Il Villaggio July 2011.  I was sooooo excited when I saw Il Villaggio last night on Four Weddings.  Was so happy to hear that everyone loved the food!  Also, the ballroom looked sooooo pretty with the uplighting.

    OMG I am so upset! lol I wanted to record 4 weddings, just a gutt feeling.  I had no idea what it was about last night. I didnt record because the FI was watching the Yankee game. 

    Now I find out it was at Il Villaggio!!!! We are getting married there AUG. 6, 2011!!!

    Ladies help a sister out do you remember the names of the brides so I can find a future listing for it?

    I checked and the episode is actually replaying tomorrow at 1pm!  I believe the brides name was Bonnie that had it at Il Villaggio.

    The episode is called "Four Weddings ... and a Tour Bus." Bonnie was the Villaggio bride.

    The mozzarella station looked wonderful!

    I watched that episode last night!.. right after Say Yes to the Dress!.. I'm really getting into all these wedding shows now. Il Villagio looks like a great venue! I thought Bonnie should've won.

    Sunday, tomorrow at 1PM it reairs. I thought Bonnie should have won as well, they were raving about the food and decor, too bad about the band she chose though. I was surprised about the comments made about Villa Lombardi's, I have been to so many weddings there (all amazing) and if I still lived on long island, I would have chosen that venue. I got a photo booth for our wedding but I wish I could rent Bonnie's video/photo booth! Yes, the mozzerella station looked amazing! Nice to see what it looks like.
    Congrats to all the Il Villaggio brides and those considering it :)

    I agree!!  I am in love with the place! :)  So beautiful!  I am getting married there Sat. July 30th....so you are getting married the Sat. after me! :)

    Hey ladies!  I just went to see Il Villagio today and really liked it so we're going to go back for a tasting.  Aside from the great food reviews, does anyone have any feedback about the staff?  I missed the show but am definitely going to catch it this weekend when it re-airs.

    @Liz - yaaah, we share a Nov 2011 date, when is yours? Im Nov 4th!

    I have the show on DVR and have showed it 2 times to people LOL

    Aside from the great food reviews, does anyone have any feedback about the staff?
    I am working with John, he is fantastic. He doesnt get annoyed even though I email him all the time and repsonds back immediately, he has pointed me to so many vendors that I ended up going with bc he knows the type of event Im looking for and what my budget is, he has gone above and beyond my expectations for everything! super sweet guy and very helpful. I have met Bob once and he also seems real nice, he actually gave me a reco for a wedding dress store and that is where I ended up ordering my dress from.

    I am from Westchester NY so the bridal suite was a HUGE selling point for me and since I am a friday bride, I get it all day!

    hey altima - i am getting married there on 11/19/11

    I am working with Bob and i have nothing but amazing things to say about him so far.  The easiest person to work with and had some great ideas.  What dress store did he recommend for you? Thats my next step ... have most of the vendors already booked.

    East West Bridals in Secaucus NJ. I worked with the owner Elysse (sp). I'm getting my bridesmaid dresses there as well. Very reasonably priced, deposit is 50%, a little more than some other places I've seen but not super crazy. Ive gone in a few times and she remembers me every time, which is nice when you are making such a large purchase.

    The staff has been wonderful!  I have been working with John and I can't say enough good things about him.  I email him all the time asking him what vendors he recommends and he always responds right away with a detailed response!  He goes above and beyond.  In fact I had my fiance shoot him an email today asking what color uplighting Bonnie had in the room! :)  I also like how they have 1 server per table the day of the wedding. 

    altima873-  I booked my dj and got a violinist for cocktail hour and also a percussionist.  I went with Premier Entertainment.  Have you looked into them?  They were one of John's recommendations.

    Hey Girls!  Thanks so much for the info on the staff.  I have been talking to Bob so I'm glad to hear that he's responsive and works well with others if I do choose Il Villaggio.

    How are the wedding dress prices at East West Bridals?  I am on a budget so I"m hoping to find a place that offers a good selection at affordable prices (under $1500).   A lot of the places I have heard about are well over $2 - $3K for a dress.

    No, havent looked into them yet, he did recommend them but I met with ESP at the bridal show they had at Il Villaggio last month and hit it off with them, but cant book there and didnt really give exact prices. . thanks for the input though, Ill def look into them

    The prices range, really depends on the designer you choose. . .the great thing about this store is that they separate dresses by style and not by designer, so for example - I knew I wanted fit and flair or mermaid, so there were probably like 50+ dresses all together on the same rack which was great
    $1.5k is def reasonable for there and you should have NO PROBLEM finding a dress you love for that price. . . the great thing about it was also they max out on alterations and that was less than other places I went to, the down side again as above, the deposit was 50% upon ordering (a little higher than some other places I went)

    Thank you so much for the dress input!  I am def going to check out East West Bridal.  That's great news about the alterations....I hear they can get really pricey so it's great that this place has max.

    You will not be dissappointed especially with the staff.  Had my daughter 18th birthday and was so happy after the event and all my guests could not stop complimenting us on having an awesome party.  Bob and John are great guys and they will go overboard in making sure your guests and you are taken care of throughout the night.
