Here's my costs from Pam at the Palette.  I did not give her any floral specifics, except for purple Calla Lillies, and 'hardy' flowers since we're using them 4 hours prior to the ceremony for our photo tour.

My Bouquet: $125 for 10" diameter
    BM's: $60 each for 7" diameter
  • edited December 2011

Mine is made up of ranunculus, white narcissi, and roses which also have ostrich feathers in, which is 14'' in diameter and is costing $300, my BM's are having all rose bouquets which are 10'' in diameter and are costing $110 each.
They are expensive but I have to have my flowers made by The Bellagio as my ceremony is there, they wont let me use an external florist :-(

That is what I am doing.  They are still letting me get the flowers that come with my package even though I'm having an outside vendor, which considering how difficult they can be with everything, I was glad to find that out.

My mom is making my brooch bouquet.  It's been fun to have family members & friends give me pieces (pins, charms, earrings, etc) to use and I love that I'll have it forever.  I also found a paper daisy bouquet on etsy that I may get for my MOH.

    http://www.etsy.com/listing/72960018/paper-daisy-bouquet

There are so many fun options!  Good luck.

Here was a good explanation I found:

The proper way to hold a bouquet is to bend your arms at a 90 degree angle and then let the weight of the bouquet bring them down a bit further. An easier way to remember this is to have your hands right about belly button level, as shown in these photos below. This will keep your arms from turning into jello mid-ceremony and will allow your photos to show off the dress you searched for so long to find

A cascade bouquet was included in our package (it was worth $100), but I wanted a red rose and stephanotis bouquet instead which their florist quoted $180 for.  They just subtracted the difference leaving me to pay the extra $80.  My MOH's bouquet is a white rose wrist pom and they charged $100 for it.

Don't be afraid to ask about substitutions for your wedding package.  Most vendors seem to be pretty accommodating.Smile

I plan to do this, as I did not want to pay for the boutinneires but I wanted the bridal party (Best Man as well as the Dads and Ushers) to stand out as 'bridal party' members.  We are going to have FMIL make these as I haven't found any I liked.  Most in stores are of shiny material...no thanks.  We are going to buy fabric and then just do a squared off top sticking out of the pocket (not the typical triangle of fabric).

I don't think it will look old fashioned at all.....if it does, we then might scratch the idea.  But the picture I have in my head, I think it will look classy.

To go with my brooch bouquet, we got my FI a circular silver charm engraved with our initials and wedding date.  We're going to put it on a simple ribbon bow that matches my bouquet handle.

I feel like I "got away" with my CP package as far as substitutions. I used an outside florist for my bouquet and all my BP flowers without paying an outside fee. The loophole we used was that as long as the flowers were delivered to your room, there was no fee. So we used the flowers in our package to decorate the garden.

My bouquet was $175, and it had black magic roses, white roses, Picasso calla lilies, purple lisianthus, and additional deep purple and ivory accents. BMs were $150 and it had black magic roses and eggplant calla lilies.

I'm with Smokey. Though I love flowers and how they look in pictures, spending less on flowers means spending more on food and open bar! It's hard to look at all these pretty bouquets though...

So I tried to go as cheap as I could and still be reasonably happy. We're using carnations and my bouquet is only $50 and will look like this:

My BM bouquets are like $35 or maybe $40 for ribbon tied Gerbera daisies.  I get 6-8 flowers.

Could I have DIY'd them more cheaply?  Yes.  Do I want to worry about DIY that weekend?  No.  That's just not me.  But I do refuse to pay more than $40 for the flowers.  Plus all ceremony flowers have tax AND service charge as they are through the hotel.

We had the roman package at Caesars, here's what they charged us for the upgrade:

Bride – one bouquet (red roses approx 15-20, something like the image attached)

    18 roses-$155.00 (less $65 credit)

Groom – one boutonnière (as included in the package, to match the bride’s bouquet)

    Included in package

Two Bridesmaids – a wrist corsage each, 3 red roses, something that matches the bride’s bouquet

    Rose corsage-$40.00 per

Two Groomsmen – a boutonnière each, simple but consistent with the groom’s

    Single rose boutonnière- $15.00 per

Mother of the Bride – one yellow pin on small corsage

    Single rose corsage-$20.00

Father of the Bride – one yellow boutonnière, similar to the groomsmen

    $15.00

Mother of the Groom – one light blue pin on small corsage

    $20.00

The BMs corsages were massive! (having been a BM before, I always found lugging a massive bouquet around to be a huge pain in the ass so we went the corsage - this also avoids the how to hold it right issues)
