Help finding a gray bridesmaid dress

Wow, it seems like forever since I was on here planning my own wedding, but it was only 8 years ago!

I'm now a bridesmaid in a friend's wedding. She's getting married in March in Chicago and we've all been told to purchase gray dresses. So ladies, will you help me in the direction of some?

I'm size 12-14 and pretty busty, so probably nothing strapless. TIA!

Gray is really popular lately, so you shouldn't have any trouble finding a dress from one of the usual bridal designers.

You could also check department stores and boutiques. I like J. Crew's line of bridesmaid dresses because they're very figure friendly and a lot of them have straps. They also go on steep discount often. But there are plenty of other places to look, like Ann Taylor, and Macy's. Macy's dress-finder lets you shop by color, so they're one of my usual go-to dress sites!

Nope, she hasn't specified anything yet. I'm trying to nail her down on a shade of gray, but I'm not even sure if she knows yet.

Wow, thanks alecat! I especially like the Alfred Angelo ones.

Length is up to us. I think I'd be more likely to wear it again if it were knee-length. Price-wise, I'd like to stay under $150-$200.

Sounds like you need to give her a prod to nail down a few details! Start sending her all of the links people have found for you and say if she doesn't figure out a few details she may have all of these in her bridal party!

I would search in the department stores. You will be more likely to wear it again. I think Halter neck tops are the most flattering for busty women.

... the fabric is luxe tafetta in platinum. it has a bit of shimmer to it, but it was the perfect gray that i was looking for!
