Tailoring?

I just picked up my dress from Uptown Bridal. It's even more lovely than I had remembered. They rock!

But, I was wondering if anyone had a great affordable tailor they would recommend. I need some adjustments to the top of the dress.

    I'm working with Sandra Denley of Alterations, etc.  http://www.alterationsetc.net/

    She's been wonderful to work with, and her prices are all listed on her page.  She's doing two dresses for me, plus something a bit extra custom that I wanted, and I was amazed at her pricing for it.

    She also gives a lot of free things if you book your appt early.  You don't have to go in that early, just booking.  I got the sitting fee, cups sewn in, garter, cleaning and steaming free.

    Janet Kirkman is the other lady often recommended on these boards. I'm going with her, and she was really sweet and knowledgable at my fitting. (I pick my dress up next week.)

    Janet did my dress. Everything was perfect! Great experience with her. Prices were about what I had expected. Maybe even a little less. My dress was almost a size too big and she did a lot of work. Turned out ammmmmazing!! Good luck in your search!

    Janet is doing my dress too. I'm picking mine up next weekend. She told me she's going on vacation the last 3 weeks of December so you might wanna get a hold of her within the next week to schedule something for when she is back from vacation if you decide to go with her.
