Chicago-area planning tips?

Hey Chicago-area brides, I need your planning secrets. Basically, what planning tips would you give to other brides in the area? Maybe where to take great photos in Chicago or a non-chain place in your city for honeymoon lingerie, a great place for a day-after brunch or where to take advantage of local food? Any tips that are unique to your area for brides and grooms. Tell me what’s up.

    There's a store in downtown Libertyville that I really like called Adrienne Clarisse Intimate Boutique.  They have great lingerie and even have some fun adult stuff that would be great for a bachelorette party. 

    They do private one on one bra fittings and sometimes have boudier picture parties.  When I'm ready for my dress fittings I'm headed there this summer.  They have told me that they often have brides bring in their dresses so they can find them the perfect bra.  I think someone also told me that they are available to go to your fitting or maybe just loan you some bras to try at your fitting.  

     I don't shop there often, but when I do I'm never disappointed.

    I don't have any specific reccomendations for place to eat or shop  but I do recommend that couples planning Chicago weddings take advantage of the uniqueness the city offers. There are so many local artisans that creat beautiful clothing, jewelry, gifts and foods. There are a ton of signature "Chicago food" resturants and so many opportunities to include special Chicago tastes and flavors into a wedding. Even choosing special Chicago locations for your table names can bring a really neat touch of the city. It's so easy to make your wedding day even more special by embracing this city and what it means to you.
