Mom and Shower Invites

my mom and bridesmaids sent out my shower invites last week. However, my mom told me that she addressed my 2nd cousins invite to her and her daughter. We aren't having kids at the wedding and my mom said my cousin will totally understand this and not bring her daughter.

I guess I an see my moms point, and I am sure to address the wedding invite to my cousin and her fiance... but don't you think we are giving the wrong impression by inviting her 12 yr old daughter to the shower?

she said little girls love to come to this kind of stuff and its not a big deal to invite her

now im paranoid and stressed that my cousin will drag her daughter along to the wedding.

Re: Mom and Shower Invites

  • oh thanks for the info! We always figured that the property taxes even out with the cost of a private education-- ie you can send your kids to barrington public schools and not worry, but if you live say in Riverside you have to invest in private education.

Our realtor has also suggested northern seekonk too!

  • I used to be the "little girl" at the showers myself, and usually had a job of sorts like telling people where to put the presents!!  In fact, I still had that job in November 2010 at my sister's baby shower (and I was 22)!!!

I think you're fine letting her come to the shower, especially if your cousin understands the wedding is adults only!!

I LOVE the idea of a ribbon bouquet!!!!  I'm hoping to be able to do that myself, thanks for the idea!!!!! :)
