Mom's wedding questions!

Ok, so no rest for me!  We have researched a few places for my Mom's wedding, anyone have any experience with weddings or private events at:
Rialto L'andana  Flora (arlington)
Dalya  (Bedford)
Solea (waltham) La Morra (somerville)

    I've been to a shower at Dayla and it was nice. The food was good but the style of the restaurant seemed a bit dowdy. Compared to L'Andana (which is my all time favorite place) the decor and food doesn't compare.

    We had our engagement party at Solea in Waltham and we had our reception at Tapeo in Boston (which is owned by the same guy who owns Solea).  FABULOUS!!!  We got so many compliments on the food at our wedding (they have many menu items that are the same)!!!  The decor is warm & inviting.  The staff is excellent.  They are really easy to work/negotiate with.  Fernando (the owner) is awesome.  I am happy to answer any specific questions you have about them from the customer point of view.  I definitely recommend them!

    At our reception they served SOOOOO many tapas.  We did a menu with 15 tapas (3 passed, 9 for dinner, 3 desserts), and they served 1 plate of each item for every 3-4 people.  Most people were stuffed halfway thru the meal!  The picky eaters were allowed to order what they wanted off the regular menu at no additional charge.  We paid a flat fee that included open bar for the night--we rented out the entire restaurant.  The staff was great about clearing the plates and keeping people's water (and sangria!) glasses full.  I didn't realize it in advance, but they even poured champagne at every spot for a champagne toast!  Our tasting was incredible (we got to order whatever we wanted to try and ended up trying 18 different tapas!).  Overall, they were great.  :)

    Oh, and my company has had a ton of lunches at Dalya in Bedford that I've attended.  Like pp said, the food is good, but it's kind of old-fashioned.  Like the place is full of antiques; I think it's an old farmhouse.  The menu has a lot of basic, American, home-style type foods.  When we've had lunches there there always seem to be a lot of older ladies there (like, the over 70 yrs old crowd).  If your mom is into very traditional, classic lunch/brunch, antique-y type places (like where you might have a tea party), then it is perfect.  If she's more cosmopolitan, then I'd recommend looking into someplace else.
