PSA: Michael's Coupon, spend $5, save $5

Today and tomorrow, Michaels has a coupon to save $5 off of any purchase of $5 or more.  The email I got claims "Spend more, save more" though I'm a little unclear how that comes in (usually they use that slogan for "spend $25, save $5, spend $50, save $10" etc.) so you might want to check with your local Michaels to see how it works, exactly.

This still doesn't include clearance items, however.  But if you have a smartphone, they'll scan it straight off of there - eco-friendly and no printing costs :)

ETA: I checked the email again, and it claims "Save $5 for every $5 you spend!" which doesn't really make sense, because then you're essentially getting a free purchase.  But their entire stock of floral stems and valentine decor are 40% off.

    I got a $10 off a $30 purchase coupon this morning.  Maybe they made a mistake on some?!?

    That would be because I wrote the whole post and then forgot to actually link it.  Sorry!  Editing now...

    And it's possible, but the coupon is actually for $5 off; maybe it's a regional thing, and the graphic artists got it mixed up?  Who knows...

    Michaels JUST sent out a clarification, that the coupon is only for $5 off ANY purchase of $5 or more (pre-tax).  The "spend more save more" was, indeed, a mistake (not surprisingly!).
