AW - cake, centerpieces, hair/mu, shower (long and PIP heavy)

I was up in Jersey this past weekend for the last time before the wedding. We finished up pretty much all the details with our vendors that can be done before having a final head count.

We met with the baker to choose our cake flavors and we'll be using this cake as our inspiration (the topper will be just a few pink peonies instead of what this has):

Went to see the mock up of our centerpieces. They will have lillies instead of roses for it to be a little more full

I had my hair/MU trial on Saturday morning and am extremely pleased with how it came out

Then my shower was that afternoon! Family that I have not seen in several years even flew in from Indiana to be there!

Um...EVERYTHING! haha
I love everything from everyone but I have to say, the gifts from FMIL and FI's aunt were pretty incredible. Together throughout the last year, they have both collected things from all of the seasons and holidays (beach towels, Halloween candy dishes, Santas, etc..) and then embroidered things like hand towels, dishcloths, fabric coasters, pillow cases and made four themed baskets with everything. It must have taken them so much time, you can tell how much thought and love was put into it all.

Oh wow....that's just an AWESOME AWESOME gift!!! SO thoughtful!! I will have to keep it in mind for future reference. YOu will have so much fun decorating with those!!
