Early September themes/colors? Too early for pumpkins? haha

Hi!  I really wanted a fall theme but I could not book the church and venue in Oct so  settled on 9/10/11 because that cheesy date jumped at me, LOL.  Anyway, I am having a hard time deciding on colors and themes...centerpieces? I wanted pumpkins and leaves, but that's not going to really work.  Any suggestions for other great Sept centerpieces or color combos...I am leaning towards plum or burgundy? I don't want to break the bank with flowers, so I was looking for other crafty ideas for centerpieces.  THANKS!!  I don't know if the other Sept 2011 brides have suggestions?

Why wouldn't that work?  Kids are back in school, leaves start changing soon -- I mean, its your wedding, do what you want.

You could do those colors but choose apples along with the pumpkins to make it more fall and less halloween thinking.

Not at all. I'd do nice bright jeweled tones. Reds, Oranges, Yellows, Deep Purples. You could certainly do a fall theme with that. I'd just stay away from browns, deep reds/burgandy because it might be a little too early. But I love the Plum color you are thinking of. Maybe with golds?

I think that sounds great!  We're having an Oct. 1 wedding and a deep wine is one of my colors- I'm doing cranberries and candles as centerpieces.  I think Fall colors are perfect for that time!

I don't think your plan would be lovely!

You could even do apples and leaves if you wanted something Fall related. But honestly, it's never too early for pumpkins! :) Happy planning!
