I am seeking your infinite wisdom!  I'm taking advantage of the snow day today to work on our guest book.  I've decided to use Blurb.  I've looked at yours in your bio (gorgeous, by the way).  I was wondering how you decided on the number of pages.  We are expecting 150 guests.  I don't want a bunch of blank pages.  Did people actually write messages or just sign?  Also, any tips?  Wish I woud've or woudn't have done?  I'm kind of excited to start working on this- I've just been looking for a good chunk of time to get started!  Thanks so much!

Awww, thanks!  I had so much fun making our book!

I was also expecting around 140 guests and I did 20 pages.  I have 7 blank pages for signing, and Blurb also puts in a blank page in the back which is extra.  Of my 7 pages, only 1 is blank--BUT, I ended up with only around 100 guests so do what you think is best for your guest list.  Yes, most people wrote actual messages.  We love our book!  I had my book at my lingerie shower and at my RD--I'm glad I did that because it really gave people time to sign.  (I had meant to take it to my family shower too but forgot it.)

I really liked Blurb once I got the hang of the layouts and the final product was great.  Let me know if you have any other questions.  The layouts are really easy to edit also.  I got the image wrap cover and it looks great.  Have fun!

ETA:  Oh and no I can't think of anything I would have done different -- it came out just how I wanted.  The only thing I would have done is upgrade to the premium paper which I think is $10 extra.  But it looks fine if you don't.  I got the large landscape--13x11 I think?  And I think 7-8 blank pages would be perfect for your guest list. No more than 10 for sure.

Thanks!  I'm downloading the software now.  I was planning on getting the premium paper and image wrap cover.  Thanks for the advice on taking it to showers, RD, etc.  That will help (and set a precedent since people have more time for stuff like that at showers).  If I have questions as I may have to PM you are page you again.

Did your 100 guests fill those 7 pages?

No, I had one blank page out of 7.  But I was planning for 140 guests so I think 7-8 blank pages for your guest list should be perfect.
