  • OMG that is so awesome! Vietnam! What a cool trip.

We haven't booked anything, yet, but we are going to go to London for a week to a music festival, and so my FI can visit his family and such. Then the second week we are going to go to Italy...maybe Venice and Rome.

Maybe we should start booking this ha.

  • Vietnam sounds awesome!
We are booked for our HM to St. Lucia for 5 days and also a cruise for 7 days!!

Can't wait to be relaxing on the beach!
  • Everyones plans sounds amazing.

When are you all leaving? Right after the wedding?

Our wedding is on the 24th and we leave on the 26th
  • Sometimes I'm glad we're waiting for our Honeymoon so I don't have to plan that on top of everything else, but sometimes I just really want to go on a trip lol.

We're planning on doing something next winter...so in about a year. Ugh. But I'd rather get out of the midwest in the winter. And we'll have vacation days again!

Vietnam sounds awesome, though. How'd you choose that?

  • Congrats on all the bookings ladies!!! Vietnam does sound absolutely awesome :)

JennaMichelle88 - I totally hear you - i am exactly the same :) We are not planning out HM til after the wedding since we are paying for the wedding - we wanted to budget a nice beach getaway for afterwards so we can save enough money :)

  • That sounds like so much fun!

We're going to spend 4 nights in Waikiki and 4 nights in Maui leaving the morning after the wedding.  We have everything planned (through Costco) and are just waiting for flight prices to go down again since they've been fluctuating a lot.  We're going to be staying at the Hyatt Regency hotels in both Waikiki and Maui with a rental car to explore, and we've planned a few activities through Costco too (snorkel, luau, dinner cruise, etc).
  • Congrats!! Vietnam sounds *amazing* ... as a foodie and a history teacher, I am officially jealous!!

Fi and I are planning a trip to Mexico, to an AI, for our honeymoon. We haven't booked yet. We were planning to book in the next few weeks, but since I interviewed for a full time teaching position today that could change what my summer schedule looks like, it's a good thing we haven't yet!

  • Vietnam sounds really cool!

We're going to Paris for a week, and then southern Germany (Bavaria) for a week.  We're leaving the morning after the wedding (not totally by choice- used airline reward points, so the choice was limited)  So far, the flights are all that we've booked, although we're researching inns at the moment.

  • I think we are going to wait about 2 weeks or more to leave. His family will be staying in California for that time, so its a good thing we had planned to wait all along ha.

  • All of your honeymoons sound amazing!  Southeast Asia is definitely a dream of mine.  We are going to far northern Maine, which is a low-key driving trip for us, the day after the wedding.  I can't wait!  We decided to do a smaller trip now, and save for a big trip in 2014.  We tossed around a lot of options that I've mentioned here before (Belgium, Iceland, national parks) but I think we've finally decided to go big and save up to go to New Zealand.  I'm excited to have something to plan and dream about once the wedding is done!
  • We live in DC, our wedding is in CA, and we'll be honeymooning (really minimooning) in Maui. So our schedule will be August 1 fly DC-->CA, August 6 fly CA-->Maui, August 10 fly Maui-->CA to pick up our dog from my mom's, August 11 fly CA-->DC. I'm not sure how relaxing it will be. We're planning to do a big trip when FI graduates law school. Maybe Bora Bora?
