nice...but inexpensive wedding favors?

So......My fiance' and I are on a budget for our wedding. I want to do wedding favors just as a little way of thanking our guests for sharing our special day. He thinks we should skip the whole favor thing considering we are having approximately 300 guests and favors for each guest could make us tip over our budget. Does anyone know of any nice but cheap wedding favors?!

We are having upwards of 500 so we had the same concern too! I use Groupon and the other day this company called Fancy Fortune Cookies was on it. They have all different kinds of colors and flavors of fortune cookies so you can match your theme plus they can dip them in chocolate! You also get to personalize the messages inside of them (we're using ours to say thank you)! I'll put the link to their website below! The costs vary according to what you're trying to do.

I recommend edible, chocolates with personalized wrappers. You can find the wrappers from Etsy and the chocolate at your nearest Party City or grocery store. Mints and fortune cookies are great favors.

We are looking at personalized lollipops off of orientaltrading.com.

They have different color swirls. Our colors are blue and green so we were having a hard time finding those colors. Then we are going to attach the escort card to the lollipops to make sure the guests take them.

I love the fortune cookie website btw, almost makes me want to do that instead!

Thanks ladies! The fortune cookie idea sounds really cute! Last night I was just telling him that we should do candy. I was thinking M&M's in our wedding colors and the package saying something cute. I hadn't even thought about the other candy ideas you all said! I keep hearing about etsy but I haven't checked out the site yet. I'm going to do that right now. Thanks!

We're getting the tux & gown dinner mints they're selling in TK shop...  A bag of 120 is just $10!  We were going to go w/ candy and while that is cheap we found these to be even cheaper :)

I do love the fortune cookie idea though, so cute!!

With a Michaels 40% coupon, it is about $15 for 50 favor boxes. I am buying several of these kits and putting bourbon balls in them(I'm getting married at a bourbon distillery). But u can put any kind of candy in it. The kit I bought came w/ the ribbon and label.

I was a MOH for a wedding few years ago and we ended up getting bags of Ghiradelli chocolate squares for really cheap.  So we took one of each flavor (4 total) and wrapped with tulle and ribbon. They were all eaten by the end of the reception and the guests loved them! For two bags (about 240 pieces total) was about $40.

We are doing cheap favor boxes from Michael's with "thank you" stamped on the lid (stamping only took like 15 mins for 200 boxes). The boxes will be filled with our favorite candies... bought in bulk :-)

All GREAT ideas!!! We still have over a year before everything will come together :-( but I'm one of those people who likes to plan very early for things. And considering that fiance' and I don't have an unlimited budget, planning early was a must! Thanks ladies!

I shopped around for candy apples and found them pretty cheap! I made custom tags to go on them & all of my guests loved them.  I got married in the fall so it was a perfect favor.  Try looking into them!
