where to go dress shopping in DC

My mom is flying in and we are going to go dress shopping next week/weekend. Where in the DC metro area would you ladies recommend? I would probably spend up to $5000. Maybe $6000. And I think I want something that is not strapless. Thanks for any recommendations!!!

Check out the Nordstrom wedding store in Tysons. I have been there for my accessories, and the brides are very well taken care of and the few dresses I have seen are beautiful. Priscilla of Boston also has a boutique near Tysons.

I Do, I Do Bridals in Rockville, MD

I see a lot of people recommended Bridal Images on this board, but I and several of my friends have had horrible experiences there with the salespeople trying to get us to try on dresses that were out of our price range, and being really rude when we insisted on staying in it. If I'd known they were going there I would've warned them... but it is only fifteen minutes away from I Do I Do, which I have only super good things to say about. I got my dress from them, and so did another of my friends.

Hitched in Georgetown. Seriously amazing store. They carry the big names, Amsale, Oscar De La Renta, ect. Plus they are wonderful to work with. Really we're getting our bridesmaid dresses through them and they are a joy. Plus the shop is adorable. LOVE this place

Jeannette's in Manassas.  They are awesome, and definitely where I'll be getting my dress.

I checked them out looking for one in particular, and they didn't have it but offered to get a loaner from another store.  They were awesome.  :)

Is this shopping for your gown or for your mom?  If for your mom:

    Nordstrom
    Saks
    Saks Jandel
    Bloomingdale's?
    Rizik's

Oh, and Rizik's, above, works for you too if you're going for a bridal gown.  Oh, also Hitched.  You need to make an appointment at Hitched, though.

Carnie's bridal atelier is a great boutique that I love! They were so nice and accommodating and helped me find the perfect dress!
