May have found reception site!! But need some help!

Hi Everyone,

So this week has been a worldwind of appointments trying to narrow down our options and picking a venue. I found the Hiton on south michigan and love the room, and everything else about the place. However, I can not find any reviews on real brides who have had their weddings there..So this kind of concerns me. Does anyone know of anywhere else I could look for reviews?

Also, they do not have our ideal date available. We would have to change it to the week after or 2 weeks after. Does anyone have any experince with this? We have told alot of people when it was going to be but have not sent out any save the dayes or anything yet. Our church is easy to book so I am not concerned with that. Any thoughts?

    Are we talking about the Hilton down by Grant Park?  If so, I heard good things from the groom's parents of a wedding we went to over a year ago about how it went overall, and they'd recommend it.  I also stayed there at the hotel too and really liked it.

    Also, they only have the room available at 5:30 the day of our wedding..is 2 hrs enough time to set up the reception room?

    Any thoughts are appreciated!!!

    I've never been to a wedding there, but I've been to several fundraisers/work events there. The food is fantastic and the service is very good as well. Good luck!

    I am not selling a service I am offering it, if this offends you in any way I am more then happy to remove but I again started as a bride on the knot and this is my personal account I did not see any harm in offering help.
