J & B Bridal or other Dress Shopping Suggestions?

Hi Ladies,
A friend of mine is getting married in May and bought her dress and the BM dresses from J & B Bridal. She loves them and highly recommended them. They were so nice and helpful when I called to set up an appointment. The problem is they're in Chambersburg...almost 2 hours from my house. Has anyone else been there? Is it worth it?

Can anyone suggestion other dress/bridal shops? I'm in Red Lion.  I've been to Davids Bridal and Alfred Angelo. I've heard mixed things about Lilla's and Rennaissance Bridal in York.

Thanks for the help!

J & B was absolutely fantastic!! They are so helpful and will do anything to find your dream dress! I bought my wedding dress and my senior prom dress 5 years ago from J & B. Definitely worth it, I highly recommend!

I used J and B as well, and I'm in York.  It's defintiely worth the trip.  Renaissance treats you like you're a pest... I had an appointment and they took me back a half hour late and then acted like I was wasting their time.   Lilla's was good, but they are much more expensive!  I tried on a dress at Lilla's, and then got it at J and B and it was 300 dollars less at J and B!  I know it's far, but it's defintiely worth it!  I worked with Amy and she was great!  Good luck!

I have nothing but great things to say about Renaissance Bridal. I had major issues finding the exact type of dress I wanted and other stores didn't listen to what I wanted and tried to put me in something that wasn't me. I ended up buying my dress at Renaissance. Jon, the owner, waited on my family and I. I told him exactly what I wanted and the first dress he brought out for me was my dress. My family and I ended up spending two hours there and we were never rushed through the process and everyone was more than kind. I did have an appointment on a Friday so maybe the weekend is busier but highly recommend. They have a fantastic selection of gowns and I would say hands down the best selection in central pa from just my experience.

Um, J&B Bridal is THREE hours from my house, and that's where I bought my dress =) I LOVE IT THERE! They have a great selection of dresses in all budgets, their consultants are amazing, and I have nothing but great things to say about the service. It definitely got a little bit annoying driving the three hours every time I had a fitting and such, but it was so. worth. it. Especially since the dress I bought there, I couldn't have gotten anywhere else (without going to New York). Give it a try.

I bought my dress at Premier Bridal and York.  I was satisfied until it was time to get my bridemaid dresses.....we wanted to try a specific dress/style and they were not very helpful.  We ended up using the Website for the designer I wanted and it led us to Simones Bridal in Hanover. The Bridal store is great and VERY helpful.  They even price matched the dresses from Premier and gave me a 10% discount because I had 6 bridesmaids.  I wish I would have started there for my dress!!!!!  It may still be about a 45min to an hour drive depending were in Red Lion, but it would be worth a try.  Good luck!

I went to Renaissance and I thought they were amazing! They made me feel great and the shop wasn't full like I was expecting. I had one consultant and the owner kept coming in and giving me his opinion too. I did buy my dress from there and so far have had no problems. My main reason for going there was to try on a specific designer, which I didn't end up buying from anyway lol
