For those of you who have already ordered and/or sent out save-the-date cards and/or wedding invitations, I was just wondering...when all is said and done...how much would you say theaverage  total cost for weddng invitaitons/envelopes, response card/s/envelopes, save-the-dates, wedding programs, table #'s, etc costs?

I was looking at some of the online sites and a lot of the RSVP cards, envelopes, save-the-dates, etc you have to buy separately, so it's hard to figure it out now...figured I'd just ask people who have already had this full experience...thanks in advance...my guess is around $300

    It all depends on formality and whether you're willing to DIY or outsource projects.  Here is my breakdown.  All quantities are 100.
    STD's (Vistaprint small magnets & postcards): $42
    Table Numbers (photos on gold easel): $22
    Invitations: $118
    Place cards: $26
    Programs: $15

    Total $223.  That figure is low because I ordered in bulk online and did EVERYTHING myself.  It also includes ink, envelope, wax seals and glue for putting everything together, and some miscellaneous supplies.

    If I had to guess an "average" for a person who did not want to DIY all of this, I would say $600-1000 for all of the above.

    I totally went nuts in this category;-

    STD - 75 - 150
    Invitations - 100 - $600 (not incle postage)

    never mind place cards, programs etc........I love the ones I picked but it was a total shock to me, how much paper costs! beware!

    I've only done STD's so far and they cost me about 200 for 150 of them.  They were magnets with one of our engagement photos.

    Save the dates: $200 including postage.

    Invites: $600 without postage for 150 pockets.

    STDs from MagnetStreet: About $100 for 75 (I think I had a coupon code)

    Stationery from Blush Design Studio: About $1000 for 85 2-color letterpress invitations and response cards, printed envelopes and response envelopes, letterpress favor tags, and letterpress program covers

    Calligraphy from DancingPen: About $200 for silver ink calligraphy on 80 navy envelopes.

    Table numbers: $20. Spray-painted dollar store frames and printed numbers on pretty cardstock that matched our stationery.

    Escort cards: $25. Bought escort cards from Cards & Pockets and embossed a decorative stamp on each card, under the name.

    Overall, it was much more than we wanted to spend.  I loved the idea of having letterpress stationery, so we found a way to work it into the budget.

    We did not bother with STDs.  We e-mailed people to ask for their postal addresses, and told them in that e-mail when our wedding was.  After that, it seemed a bit silly to send out STDs to the postal addresses we found that way.

    We paid $154.62 for our invitations, not including the postage.  That included a) ten pocketfold ceremony/luncheon invitations, with menu, accommodations and RSVP enclosures; b) 60 panel card at-home reception invitations; and c) envelopes for all of the above.  We did not have response card envelopes, because the RSVP cards specified that people were to RSVP online.

    I'm not sure exactly how much the programs were, but it was not all that much.  We got a box of vellum, a box of cardstock (for the covers), and a box of parchment, and printed them ourselves.

    We didn't have assigned seating at the reception, so we didn't need the table numbers or escort cards.

    I think our STDs were maybe around $100...?  We did postcards through amazingmail.com.  You design them on the site, upload your addresses in an Excel sheet, and they print & mail them for you (so the price includes the postage).  We <3 them!

    We DIYed everything paper, and for 100 invites + other paper (programs, table numbers, signage, etc), it probably WOULD have cost about $200-250 plus about $75-100 for computer ink, calligraphy ink & pens, but I had to redo all the envelopes, so it cost probably about $100-150 extra.  I have to say, we did color ink on our invites and had 7 (yes, 7) inserts in our invitations, so if you had a simpler invitation, you could do them for a lot less (I'd guess under $200 for everything except postage).

    We did custom postage for the invites and reply cards, and that cost about $185, I think; if we'd used stamps from the post office, it probably would have only been about $85 for postage.
