  It looks like cotton fabric, the kind you buy in quilt square.

  Yeah, it's just cotton fabric cut with pinking shears.  Stitch two pieces together and voila!
  
  That's really cute.  I was planning on doing a fabric backing to my invitations, but I really like the fabric pocket, too.  Hmmmm.
