Save the dates

our wedding is June 15 2013. I'm not sure when to get engagement pics done or when to send save the dates out. Any thoughts?

    You don't need to send save the dates until 9-6 months out. Do engagement pictures this fall if you want them on your STDs and then you don't have to send those until November/December (send them earlier if people are traveling a lot, we sent ours out about 7 months before because most of our guest list is comming from Minnesota or New Jersey).

    Because you have time do your engagement pictures when you want! We got engaged february last year and we are just doing our engagement pictures because we wanted spring time! and save the dates agree with above it is 6-9 months out, but we are probably sending ours out mid June for our November wedding.

    I got mine from vistaprint using one of their free postcard deals. Only cost me the $6 for shipping!

    Agree with PP, 6-9 months is appropriate. Wedding Paper Divas always has a cute selection, but I know many people go through Vista Print -- they also have Groupons.

    We sent our Save-the-dates 6 months before our wedding.  I designed them using Picasa and ordered them from VistaPrint (only paid for shipping).

    Our STD's were sent out last week (wedding in October). I randomly found a peacock template on eBay that I loved...$15, plus $16 to print them from WalMart. No e-pics. Smile
