How much did you spend on favors?

So I had decided to use mini wine bottles for my favors (FI and I love wine and I thought our guests would appreciate something they could drink) and the cost is about a dollar and change per bottle (about $200 for 180 guests). I was also going to do personalized labels which would be another $100 or so which I didn't think was so bad. I just starting wondering how much others spent on favors and if $300-400 was a lot.

Thanks for any help!

We spent about $500-$600.  We did engraved silver bells for each couple (or single), each person got a tin of NY Yankee M&Ms & each person got a box of wooden matches.

We spent $5 per couple on Lenox bud vases (on clearance, they were originally $25 a piece). Then there was the wrapping paper to wrap those, which was pretty minimal per favor.

We also had a box of fall-colored jelly beans at each place setting. I don't remember the exact cost, but probably another $1 a person, so that's a total of around $500.

Xtina - not sure where you're located, but Viscount Liquors in Wappingers Falls offers free custom labels with the purchase of at least 75 mini wine bottles.  That's where I ordered my favors from and they came out really nice!  It takes a few weeks to get the labels in, though.

Alaina- I am not close to Wappingers (I live in mount kisco) but it may be worth me checking out to save me $150, so thanks!!!

Vicky- I contacted my local liquor store (in mount kisco) and they can get them for me. A lot of brands do mini bottles (I originally wanted half bottles, but they were too much and not many brands do them) so I just have to pick out which white and red I want. They also offered me 20% off since I need sooo many. I'm sure a liquor store in your area can get them for you, however I've been going crazy looking for persoanlized labels online, so I may be checking out Alaina's place!

Jenni- WOW! I can't believe how much you spent on favors! lol

The total that we spent came to just about $300 - but with that I'm factoring everything that went into the favors. The chocolates, boxes,  tissue, ribbon and note. Hope you can make your idea happen at a price you are ok with! GL!

I stole Terri's idea :) and just used a different chocolate and box (I ordered from ebay and got them personalized).  I also made the Italian jordan almond favors.   I believe it was about $2.50 to $3.00 per person.

we had mini black lanterns with apple scented tea lights inside.  they are the same as sold at michaels but i got them cheaper on the internet...about $2/favor and the cancles were cheap as i got them at christmas tree...i did the labels as business cards at VistaPrint so free.  I don't remember what the ribbon cost.  i would say we were about 2.50 a favor

We're donating $ to at least 2 different charities.....total donation of about $3-4K.  Plus we are giving each guest a wristband for the charity.  Right now we are donating to MADD & American Cancer Society....MADD since my mother was killed by a drunk driver when I was 16 & ACS since several family members have passed due to cancer.

I'd consider donating.  We spent $250 on cookies for everyone, but donated an additional $500 to Autism Speaks!
