All done! Decor is shipped!

Now the shopping/packing fun begins!

We took our reception decor boxes (along with our aisle runner and rose petals for the ceremony) to the UPS store last night and shipped them to Caesars and Maggianos.  Both venues were very accomodating in agreeing to hold packages for us, and said it would be no trouble at all (surprising since everything seems to have a charge).  It seemed crazy that it felt like I spent MONTHS working on ordering the decor, mini favors, making the menus & placecards, and getting our grandparents wedding photos together and printed, and it all ended up fitting into 2 small boxes!

    That is awesome!! I need to start getting stuff ready to ship.  Who did you talk to at Caesars for shipping items?

    so you shipped the menus, placecards, favors...anything else to maggianos?
    is maggianos going to set them up for you?

    I'm curious as well.  Also for a small lunch reception should I do place cards and menus?  So many questions!!!! Thank you!

    Trevi will print menus for you I believe, and so does Maggiano's (although it's only 1 per table), BUT I personalized our menus with vegas facts on the back and a short paragraph about a specific Vegas Landmark on the front (matches the table name where the guest is sitting).  I am a  BIG FAN of placecards!  My friend did NOT have them for her 20 person lunch reception at Mon Ami and it was a bit of a hassle when we first arrived, asking her where she wanted us to sit, where she was supposed to sit, etc.  Place cards make everything so much easier for guests when they arrive, IMO.  But you would be OK if you really don't want them...

    For Maggiano's and Caesars I just shipped it to the addresses for both (which I have if you need) and put Attn: Wedding Services- Shani, (my WC) for Caesars, and Attn: Banquet Services: Mark or Cassy , for Maggianos.

    Both said they will let me know when the packages arrive (and I am tracking them).  I am paying Caesars $50 to set up the aisle runner & rose petals (their charge if you don't use THEIR aisle runner, which is $250 to rent) and Maggiano's is charging us a $100 set up fee for our linens, and they will also set up the decor for us.  I am not sure if they will still charge you $100 set up fee if you don't have linens though.

    yes all of the above, rose petals for  the tables, personalized napkins for the bar, photos on 11 x 14 posterboards of our grandparents at their wedding ceremony, stands for the photos, a card listing the cupcake flavors...I'm sure there's something I'm missing. oh yeah table 'names' (since we're using landmarks instead of numbers)...

    Thank you for the information!  I wanted place cards but thought they might be to much for a small reception.  I want things to go easy so I definetly will be having them; menus as well so my guest will know what they will be having.  Thank you again for all your information and help!

    No problem.  I think placecards add a nice touch!  I even use them for larger family gatherings sometimes too.

    Ooh!  So exciting!!!  I can't wait to hear how it all goes :) 

    I'm still debating whether I want anything from Pallette at our reception at Maggiano's...  it's nice to hear that they'll take your favors and other little goodies!  I might want to ship my guest "book", too!

    Make sure when u book with Pam you tell her you're from the KNOT and NOT Maggiano's.  She has higher prices for Maggiano's referall but gives discounts for the Knot!

    this is kind of upsetting! when I originally contacted her I mentioned she was maggiano's preferred vendor but I ended up choosing her because of her awesome references from TK, but i didn't tell her that...
    I wonder if she quoted me a higher price because I told her I was referred from Maggianos... :(
