Man, you girls are slacking this morning. It's already 8:15 and no AW post? Blasphemy.

Soo, all I really have is that we finally started registering on Tuesday. We went to BBB and holy overwhelming china, batman! I have never looked at so many dishes in my life...and I'm still not even sure if we WANT china! We just wanted something nicer. Yeesh. Anyway, we did get registered for a crap-ton of stuff, so all in all, I would call that a success. OH, also, I ordered my wedding shoes, and I love them. Whee.

They're so great, Erica! I'm picking up my shoes this weekend (have a friend on the IN at Nordstroms so I got her employee discount).

My AW is ONE MONTH LEFT!!!!! YAYYYYY!!!!!

So much to do, but I think we have it under control! I'm really trying to get ahead since we're going to San Fran for 5 days at the end of the month. Yep, we're loonies.

The shoes are adorable. My AW is we chose our venue and our photog crazy to do while studying for the bar but now we can sit back and know the two most important things are done. Date is 12.14.13.

I've got two: Our moving announcements are addressed and ready to go! And I'm going to Austin tomorrow for a really good friend's bachelorette party! I've just got to go buy her some cute lingerie and figure out what I'm going to wear.

VS semi-annual sale is going on. ALSO, it's random, but one of my favorite gifts from my lingerie shower was a silk romper from VS. Comfy enough to sleep in but still pretty sexy. It was so different that just all the corset and edible underwear (um, thanks mom....), and I loved it.

Oh no Kathleen I'm sorry

So my writing to change my name on everything is already getting results. SW Airlines e-mailed me this morning to confirm my Rapid Rewards was updated to my new name. Boom, dynamite.

I have a 90 pound puppy who is sick at home. I was up with him til 4:45 this morning, letting him out with an upset tummy. Poor baby!

This I's the only way I was able to afford my wedding shoes!!

I had some time this morning before I had to be anywhere for work, and the hotel I's running a great spa special, so I got a mini massage and mini facial.

So now I'll take back the complaining I did yesterday about having to travel!!

I know I'm a little late for the AW party, but I actually have sh!t today! J and I are in Asheville, NC for my sister's wedding (Saturday) and this place is freakin amazing. We're staying at the Grove Park Inn, and I have seriously never stayed in a nicer place. The view of the mountains is spectacular, and the weather is gorgeous. In between wedding obligations, we are trying to dub this as our anniversary trip (one year on Monday!).
We put our top tier in the fridge so that it could thaw out and be ready for us to try on Monday--I hope it doesn't suck. But it probably will. The Cake Guys did a nice job of packing it, so maybe it isn't freezer-burnt to hell.

courtski, that sounds AMAZING! Is there a lot to do in the area where you are at? H and I have decided that we are going to make traveling more of a priority. For the most part we will only be able to afford to stay in-state, but it's good to log info away about out-of-state places we'd like to save up for!

Mmm Cake Guys... that sounds so good right now! If your top tier sucks, can they make you a new one for a reasonable price to pick up next week? I wrapped ours in 4 layers of premium Saran wrap and four layers of heavy duty foil and it's done pretty well. I know its only been a few weeks (and yes, I've eaten almost the whole top tier now and I AM NOT ASHAMED... except maybe a little) but I haven't noticed too much of an off-taste and no freezer burn. Our freezer is from hell, so that's pretty impressive. I can't believe its almost been a year for you two -- Happy Anniversary!!!!

stephie, we chose McG for photography and the Melrose for our reception! I feel like such a copy cat of everyone on this board.

Of the coordinators I corresponded with, I liked Bethany at the Melrose much, much more. I am sooooooooo excited! After looking at the Omni, Maple Manor, the Magnolia, and briefly considering the Stoneleigh (until I realized it would blow the budget), when I walked into the Melrose, I was so thrilled because the decor is so much more neutral, yet elegant, than so many hotel ballrooms. And I love the neighborhood, too, so I was sold.

For the ceremony, we may do it there, but we think we want to find a church that fits our beliefs to get married at, since we don't have a "home church" yet.

Clearly, I could gush forever.

One fun thing about the long engagement is I get to spend more time planning.
