I am in the process of putting together programs for our ceremony.  What stuff should I include?  It will be a short ceremony.  We are not having a religious service, so there is no Bible verses to quote are write down.  We have a friend reading a poem.

    We did an outline of the ceremony on the front...

    Prelude
    Processional
    etc
    etc
    vows
    etc
    Recessional

    then on the back we displayed the names of the Officiant, Parents, Wedding party.  We also included a thank you to all of our friends and family to thank them for being a part of our day and then the address to our home

    Favorite thing about fall...Florida Football!

    Ours was really just a basic outline so people would know what was going on.  Here's what was in ours:
    Officiant
      name
    Organist
      name
    Prelude
    Processional
       "song"-composer
       "song"-composer
       "song"-composer
    Welcome
    Invocation
    Call to commitment
    Declaration of intent
    Giving of bride
    Exchaning of vows
    Exchaning of rings
    Prayer
    Blessing of the hands
    Pronouncement of marriage
    Benediction
    Presentation of couple
    Recessional
      "song"-composer

    So no words for the prayer or blessing of hands (which was a reading)

    Personalize it!!!  It's your day. Aside from all the traditional things, I have seen many couples give a " thank you" to their parents and wedding party. Tome, it's all about what you want. Some programs are lenghty, while other tell your guest who is who and what is what. Also take into consideration the type of people who are attending. Will they even pay that much attention to the program??? Like I said, ITS YOUR DAY!!! Have it as long or short as you like!!  Good Luck!

    Yeah, I have decided not to do programs.  We have such a small group that I don't think it will make a difference.
