I've been looking at my to-do items and I keep seeing "purchase wedding insurance". Does anyone have advice as to whether or not this is really necessary?

    I'm not sure what it is and I am not planning to purchase any. Everyone I know who's gotten married recently managed to do it without wedding insurance, so I figure I can do the same.

    I agree with Jenny.  I won't be purchasing wedding insurance, I will be getting travel insurance and encourage anyone who joins us in Barbados to do the same.

    Thanks, ladies. I wasn't planning on buying wedding insurance but was curious is my intentions went against the norm. Honestly, it seems like a ploy from the wedding industry to get brides to buy more!

    I actually looked into to getting wedding insurance. A lot of wedding insurance companies don't even cover weddings outside of the US. They didn't have any coverage for the Bahamas. So even if I wanted to get it, I was able to.
