Hi everyone! So I'm so extremely burnt out from my job it is crazy insane. I can't take the stress of being an Assistant Manager anymore. Company wide our sales are suffering. Stores didn't even make last year numbers on Black Friday 2011. the recession is really hitting us hard. They already cut Assistant Manager positions in the company once, and somehow I survived, but I don't think I will this time.
That being said, I am going to apply to a childcare center today. I talked to the person hiring on the phone and she told me she has been hiring for a while, but just can't find the right fit for her infant/toddler room. I have a really good feeling about this and hope it works out. It may be a slight cut in pay, but if I can have a job where I am appreciated and not taken for granted it will be worth it. It would also be so nice to have my nights and weekends back and not have to leave family events on the holidays so early because of Black Friday. I could always get a part time weeknights doing something else, if I really have to.
PS Just so everyone knows I do have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and have worked in childcare several years. I'm just planning on returning to it. Not only doing it for better hours etc.
