My Childhood Dog...

is the gift that keeps giving.  Or maybe my mother is.  Poor puppy has to sleep in the garage because he barks all night if he's in the house and we don't know why.  He has his crate and blankets and toys in the garage with him.  Last night when my mom put him to bed she accidentally left the garage door open.  Seriously mom how did you not notice.  This morning she realized her mistake and panicked.  Turns out he ended up at an older lady's door (the door looks a lot like the one at my mom's house).  She called her daughter, they came and picked him up, and he stayed with them for the night.  My mom's friend found him for her via FB and we now have him back.  The family he stayed with said he was just a lovely dog.  My mom needs to be more observant...ugh.

Re: My Childhood Dog...

  • Ack. That sucks. At least FB was helpful and he's back and not traumatized. Maybe if he's in the house he can see things moving through windows and that bothers him? That's the difference I can think of; that the garage is all dark and confined and that's comforting.

  • Glad to hear he is back and okay.  I was definitely afraid to open this thread thinking you were going to have worse news that would probably make me cry.
