Our vendors were incredible. Our day went off without a hitch, and I'm convinced it was because we had such talented people working with us. If you hire any/all of the following, I'm sure you'll be similarly happy. I hope these help!
Venue: The Guthrie Theater - This is an incredible venue for people who want a modern, unique feel for their wedding. It's as non-traditional as you can get. The room is literally a black box, so you can do whatever you want with it. Their catering manager Karen is also fabulous. She and her staff created a beautiful, delicious meal from start to finish. All of our guests, both in town and out of town were stunned by the beautiful views on the Endless Bridge and the drama of the Dowling Studio.
Planners, Decor, and Flowers: Mi Mi Design - There are simply not enough positive adjectives in the English language to describe Amy and Amy, the brains behind Mi Mi Design. They were able to take my somewhat vague ideas and translate them into something absolutely stunning. They were so organized from start to finish. We hired them to do day-of coordinating, which actually began three months prior to the wedding. They coordinated all the vendors, created a detailed day-of schedule, and made sure everything ran perfectly the day of the wedding. We also had them do our florals and decor. We could not have been more pleased with the results! (See pics below)
Photographer: Danny Siepp - We met with a few photographers, but no one compared to Danny. Not only is Danny extremely talented at capturing just the right moments, he's also just a great guy! He knew everyone's names immediately, and made everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera (not an easy feat). His packages are also extremely comprehensive and an excellent value. He is one of the few photographers who shoots film and digital, which may not seem like a big deal, but nothing compares to the grain of real film!
Ceremony Musician: Tony Hauser - We hired Tony to play traditional flamenco music for our ceremony and a few popular songs, and he did both beautifully! It was a non-traditional pick, but it made our ceremony very special.
Hair/Makeup: Brett Dorrian - Yet another vendor who deserves every positive adjective I can think of. Brett was great to work with from start to finish. She's up on the latest trends and is constantly learning new techniques (this is important!). She and her team did a fantastic job on the entire wedding party.
