Girls who are getting veils....

If you are having a veil, are you also having a blusher? How did you make your choice?

I definitely want a veil, but I can't decide if I should get the blusher. We're getting married in a church, so I feel like a blusher would be appropriate, but at the same time, the back of my dress is gorgeous and I don't want to hide it with too thick of a veil!

  • I went back and forth o. This as well and eventually decided to not have one. I want to be able to see clearly as well as everyone being able to see my face.
  • I am not having a blusher per se, but I am at this point anticipating a two-tier veil.  I just bought the supplies to make it today!

  • I'm wearing a cathedral length mantilla.  IMO, all the drama, but no face-hiding.

  • I decided not to have a blusher.  Personally, I've never really liked them too much.  I feel like its just too much veil and not necessary.  Plus, I'm paying a lot for my make-up so I want to show it off! Laughing
  • I'm not having a blusher--I don't want anything in my face as I walk down the aisle. I am having a two tier veil, though.

<div>This. I'm using the same veil that my sister used (something borrowed) so I didn't really have a choice but I'm not a fan of blushers. I want to see and be seen! :)</div>

  • I'm not having a blusher it's too traditional for me. I want people to see my beautiful face, too.
  • I'm not having a blusher, it's just too much and I don't want another layer being too hot.
  • No blusher for me. I dont have the face for it. Depending on my findal choice in dress I may go with a birdcage of a cathedral lenght single layer to make up for the lack of a train I will have

  • I am going back in forth with a bird cage viel or just to wear a gold comb or hair pin in my hair.

  • I didn't want it over my face but still wanted a veil.
  • I am not sure. I am having a regal length veil and would like a blusher, but I am worried it is too much veil. But, I do think I will end up doing it.

I am having a blusher. I knew all along I wanted one; it has been part of my vision on how I saw myself as a bride. My dad will lift it when he gives me away.

  • Also, My FI wanted me to have a veil. No idea why.
  • I am using my mom's veil, it comes with a blusher attached. When I tried the veil on with the blusher the first thing I said was this thing is gonna drive me nuts. So no, I will not be using the blusher.

Also because the veil is so long, longer than the train on my dress, I will not be wearing it at the reception. After the ceremony I will take it off.

  • I'm wearing mine low, just over my low-do. So no blusher. It felt too traditional for me, my dress & our wedding.
  • Veil, but no blusher. It was easy for me to decide - it got picked out and put on me at David's Bridal and I liked it so I bought it.

  • I'm doing a birdcage, so yes for blusher.  It's only going to cover my eyes and I don't think it will hide my face at all.  I'm super excited about it and can't wait to see how it looks with my hair and make-up trial.
  • I'm just doing a veil with no blusher. What helped me to make my decision was that my mom caught her blusher on fire at her wedding. I didn't want to take the chance.

  • I'm def want to wear a veil. I might possibly be using a longer blusher ( Princess Kate is my veil inspiration! ) But absolutely no bird cage like blusher. I haven't made the final decision on my dresss, but the veil is very important to me.

  • I'm just getting a simple one-tier fingertip-length veil. I don't want anything over my face, and I want the back of my dress to show through, as well, since it's a really neat design.
  • If I decide to do one it will be a long one.  I don't like the birdcage types.  However I probably won't use one at all, I have a cathedral length veil right now, and I think that is enough.  Besides my Dad is fairly clumsy and he would probably rip my veil clean off if he had to lift it over my face....

  • I have been VERY back and forth on the blusher. I have it narrowed down to a Princess Kate replica veil or cathedral veil with no blusher (both custom made). I am leaning toward the cathedral veil, but in a couple weeks I am trying on a Princess Kate veil in a couple weeks so I will make my final decision then.

  • I'm not having a blusher.  I'm not a big fan of them and they are NMS.

  • I've got a two tier cathedral length veil that I plan on wearing over my face until we kiss. I don't know why, but it's always been in my head that I wanted my groom to lift the veil right before he kisses me :) surprisingly, that's one of the only things I think I've really dreamed of having at my wedding since I was a little girl.

  • I got a cathedral length veil and another veil because mine didn't have a blusher.  I am getting married in a catholic church and havinng a traditional mass ceremony so wanted to keep with tradition.  I can show my make up off in the pics taken before and after, when we leave the church, and when we are at the reception.  Just hope my dad doesn't accidentally rip it off my head in the process of putting it back and that the MOH fixes it if it doesn't fall flat!
