OM freakin G!!! SUPER SUPER YAY!!

OK, so a few weeks ago I put in for Italy and was really hoping(based on the time of the assignment cycle) to find out before the wedding. FI and I decided that if we got orders, we would wait and surprise everyone with the announcement at the wedding. I just checked the system and it shows...(dun, dun dun).....

I have a projected assignment on file for Aviano AB, Italy!!! I am SO freakin excited.

Now I just have to come up with a smeaky way to surprise FI with the news. Maybe grab an expensive bottle of Italian wine on the way home and see if he catches the hint?? Oh decisions, decisions. I will apologize in advance for anyone reading this who doesn't really give a crap. I'm just super yay-ed(I just made that up!) and had to tell someone!!

YAY!!! I am super jealous!!!! I am dying to find out where H will be next year. But alas, I have to wait many more months.

Fun!! I say grab a bottle of Italian wine and serve up an Italian dinner. Put some Italian music on in the back ground. While y'all are eating your dinner, ask him if he thinks he could get used to dinners like that. See if he gets it.

ACKKK!!!! YAY!!!! So excited for you!!!!! I'd absolutely love to be stationed in Europe at some point. FI and I have a deal - if he deploys and I don't have a job holding me to one spot, I'm going to move to Europe for a few months while he's gone. But to live there WITH him would be so much better! You and your FI and son will have so much fun!!!

Thanks everyone! Some people here at work are like 'oh that's cool'....um could you spare a BIT of enthusiasm?! Lol, I guess most of these people have all been to Europe so it's not really a big deal for them.

I've never been outside of the country except for Iraq. That does not count in my book, btw.

I have a buddy who is stationed there. Him and his wife love it for the most part but they are on year 2 and ready for their next step. I am jealous of all their travels though. H and I are hoping for England next (I really want Ramstein but that would require an aircraft change for H)
