Online Marriage License Application for Hamilton Co.

Has anyone applied for a marriage license in Hamilton County online, and if so, what was the process? Do you still have to show up in person? Do they mail you the license?

My fiance and I live out of town and aren't arriving until two days before our wedding, so I'm hoping to cut down on at least one errand. I wasn't clear from Hamilton County's website, though, about the process.

You still have to go in. All the online application did was save time filling out paperwork once you get there. You still have to go in, show ID, pay, etc. We were able to skip ahead of two couples because we filled ours out online, so I would go ahead and do it. Just an FYI, mine went into my junk mail folder, so keep an eye out if you choose to do it.

Can you fill out all the paperwork well in advance and then go in right before? My fiance and I are far away too... and I read that Hamilton Cty licenses expire after 60 days. Could I fill out the paperwork online now, and then go in a couple days before in October or does it have an "expiration date" online?

I would wait until you are going in to print it out just in case the form changes between now and then. The license itself expires after 60 days, so from the time you go to the courthouse to submit the forms and your wedding it has to be in that 60 day timeframe.
