Bridal Party Meeting...

Hi. We are getting married on 3/30/13 and I am in full swing getting everything and everyone ready. I was thinking that it might be a good idea to have a full Bridal Party meeting in mid February, to distribute information and also a chance for everyone involved to meet and get to know each other. 

Is that normal? Or are we supposed to just wait until the rehersal and dinner for everyone to meet. My bridesmaids have met with me twice already, but the groomsmen have not met, and still need instructions for thier fittings and such. 

Any advice would be helpful...

    Hmm, I don't think I've ever heard of a bridal party meeting. I think you can just give them the info about where/when to get the dress and they are on their own for alterations. That's what I did with mine (though they pretty much picked out the dress, I just agreed with it and chose the color). I have 3 BMs and two of them met when MOH was visiting. MOH has met my sister but they've never like, hung out or anything. Other BM hasn't met her. They've been FBing about the bachelorette party though, so they've taken it upon themselves to "meet" for whatever they want to do. I just don't find it necessary for them to formally meet unless they want to. I figure they'll all actually meet at the shower or bachelorette party. The groomsmen already know each other because FI and two of his GMs grew up together and the other is his brother.

    Overall, it's up to you but I do agree with Sleeper - they are big girls and can do things on their own :-)

    Thanks! I think you both are right, it might be overkill....I talked to my Fiancee about it and he said the same thing...I appreciate the advice Smile
