  • I don't know which of the three in SL you are going to but we just went this past March for the second time to the Grande. I have two reviews, including excursions and tons of pics in the link above my siggy pic. HTH and if you have any questions please feel free to ask.
  • Love a fellow West Virginia girl!  I'm from Hurricane!! :)

The first Sandals we ever went to was La Toc in 2010 and we really loved it.  I was super nervous about going to Sandals but we really wanted to visit St. Lucia and stay at an all-inclusive.  Our travel agent talked us through each of the 3 resorts (and answered my many questions) and we ended up deciding on La Toc because it seemed to offer the most intimacy and restaurants.  We stayed on the Sunset Bluff in a butler suite.  La Toc is big enough where they are really quiet intimate areas and then very lively areas.  We visited the other 2 resorts for dinner and really liked the Grande but preferred where we were staying because of the intimacy.

I can send you my TripAdvisor review if you'd like.  I also highly recommend our travel agent- she's really knowledgeable on both St. Lucia and Sandals. (She's based out of DC, so I work on the phone/email with her.)  Just PM me if you'd like either.  Good luck!
  • We went to La Toc in July and had a great time. I'd recommend it. The food was good, pools/grounds were good, and we met some fabulous people. We did travel to the Grande one day, and we both liked La Toc better.

We went on the Joe Knows tour, zip lining, and horse back riding. We both loved the first two. The horse back riding was just ok.

  • We just returned from our honeymoon a few wks ago! We did a split stay at the Halcyon for 3 nights then 5 nights at the Grande. Each resort has their own flavor and culture/crowd. Halcyon was smaller, very cozy and quaint. It had a mixed crowd but ofa ll 3 resorts it was the most laid back. We felt like our choice to go to 2 was a great idea as it was sort of an upgrade to the Grande. If you go to the Grande, get a swim up lagoon room! It was AMAZING! The Grande is the fun resort. We went to La Toc a couple of nights (Sandals is great because you can take the shuttle to go to any of the 3 resorts to use amenities and restaraunts); it is nice there too but sort of a younger crowd (though Grande was mixed it was also sort of youngish). The Grande has the nicest beach. Concierge was worth it for us as they gave us alot of attention-stocked our drinks each day, scheduled any tours, etc. for you. The staff was AMAZING. So friendly,w ent out of their way for you. Our favorite place at the Grande was Josephines crepes. They even opened up an hour earlier for us on the day we left! That is service! I would strongly recommend going on Simon Says tours one day. It takes you snorkeling, to the sulfur mud baths (amazing), lunch at Simon's house and a great waterfall experience afterwards. The food was pretty good as were the drinks! Our favorite restaraunt was Toscaninis (italian) at the Grande and the Pier at the Halcyon. If you want more than one meal or appetizer, etc. feel free...just ask, it's all included! We had the time of our lives so if you have any questions please let me know....oh and if you get carsick at all, book a chauffer as the shuttle ride from airport is a nightmare we heard. The chauffer (private) was so worth it as they stopped to take our picture onthe way at picturesque spots, etc.
