Lipstick

I am having my makeup professionally done, and while my MUA did put some nude colored gloss on my lips it was gone within a few hours. Our ceremony will take place 3 hours after my makeup is complete and i will be eating lunch in between. I don't want to have my first kiss as husband and wife and get lipstick all over FI...

My question is would it be weird if I am not wearing lipstick, but have professional makeup? I was planning to wear chapstick that has a slight color to it.

TIA!

Re: Lipstick

  • I think a natural lip with more dramatic eyes is perfectly fine...it's what i'm doing actually...

  • I'm going to discuss this issue with my MUA at my trial as well. I like pretty pink glosses but that's about it, I hate the way lipstick feels and FI hates when I have anything besides chapstick on because he's always afraid it will get all over his face haha.

I will probably be going natural with chapstick as well so I see no issues with that! I also have super pink lips naturally though so I am not worried about being washed out.

  • ugh, you reminded me that I have to wear makeup....

I'm such a low-maintenance girl that most days I don't wear any makeup at all. I will let sister put some on me for the wedding (she's a beautician) but I'm not wearing lipstick. I will just do chapstick. Like a PP, I have full, very pink lips on a very, very fair face so they stand out with just the chapstick just fine.

FI wouldn't know what to do if he kissed me and there wasn't chapstick. I might even break out his favorite (appletini) for the wedding. :)

  • What about using a lipstain with clear gloss/chapstick over it?  That would give you a little color, but it wouldn't come off.

  • My MUA is using a lipstain and we're using a clear gloss over the top.
