I'm here! Just finished helping my dad put up Christmas decorations outside and turned on the Atlanta/Houston game.  TK is getting on my nerves, with the times of everything going all wonky still. Can't they fix this already???

TK hasn't had a big glitch like this for a while now surprisingly, but hopefully they fix it soon!

I'm home alone til tomorrow since H is on duty. I am wrapping Christmas presents and doing our Christmas cards(mostly just licking  a lot of envelopes right now, yuck!)

I'm here! I'm working on my guestbook photo book. Does anyone have and suggestions for it? Haha.

I have started a book on Shutterfly, MyPublisher, and MixBook. But, none of them are easily customized. Shutterfly had a template that I loved, it was cute and all..but it wasn't remotely our colors (It was warm browns/yellows our colors are cool grays and blacks and pink). I wish there was a way to change the colors easily. (Maybe there is an it just isn't user friendly?)

They all are great programs for people that don't have a lot of experience, but I have worked with graphic design before, so it is bugging me that I can't just change colors or resize all the photo boxes at once or even zoom in to make the edges line up!

[QUOTE]Amanda: I've made a few photo books with Shutterfly before and I never had a problem with customizing it, even with colors. Are you using the "Custom Path" Also, you can try VP, they do photo books too and most of the time, you can upload your own design onto VP for any product you're making. I've never tried it with a photo book but with other producst you can, so I don't see why not.

I love the custom path feature. You can see in my bio what mine looks like using custom path.<div>

<div>Yea the more I play around with it the easier it is, and I can see how to customize, it just doesn't seem as intuitive to me as some of the other design programs I have used.. I actually like MixBook the best, they are a bit more expensive but I like some of the templates a lot as they are and don't need to do a lot of customizing.</div>

Amanda - I used Blurb.com.  It's more expensive than the others, but it turns out MUCH more professional looking, in my opinion.  I'm actually going to do a Blurb book for our 'album' instead of a traditional album.  Slightly less thick pages, and not as great on cross-page spreads, but I have more control over designing it!

I think Mixbook has actual "guestbook" templates, with the lines to write on and everything, doesn't it? For my albums, I've found the most professional (and by far thickest paper) is MyPublisher. People always think its a pro album. Love them.

I'm here, watching the Giants attempt to beat the Packers! Got slow cooker tacos going, can not WAIT to eat!!

Wasn't TK down for like 20 something hours recently?! Can't they un-fu*k themselves?!

Funny story: Mom and I were watching something about Yoga and how helpful it is for people suffering from Arthritis and this lady was like "If I didn't do it I couldn't get aroused"... WHAT?! no.. that's just my selective hearing.. she actually said "around".  Mom and I giggled for like 15 minutes.

I asked my friend who used MyPublisher for her wedding album and she said she wasn't happy with hers...there was several mistakes and the coloring was off. Which was unfortunate because I liked the program  MyPublisher used.. (minus the whole freezing every 30 seconds...but I blame my computer on that one)

Eitherway, I got frustrated with MyPublisher's software (my computer) lagging and started using Mixbook. I have been working on it most of the day and I really like how it is turning out. I'll post some pictures of the screen shots when I finish it.

Agreed on MyPublisher... plus they have awesome deals... I got 10 free christmas cards from them, a free flip book, and both had free shipping as well so it came out to 0.00. :] They always do buy 1, get 1 deals as well (which doesn't matter for a guestbook right now, but will come in handy for parents' albums after the wedding!)
Snapfish prints really well too, though. I have my e-pics in an album from them that looks great as well as 100 free photos from them (plus 6 bucks for shipping) and they all look fantastic.
