How long do I wait?

Need a tip from some wedding veterans out there, I'm a newbie and I don't know how long I should give my florist to get back to me with details. Here's the story:
I live about 4 hours away from my parents place (where we are getting married) and I can't get down there all the time so the only time I could go see my florist was on Feb 10th (dangerously close to V-day, never do it). Basically she was so out of it with the chaos that she forgot about the appointment and was locking up when I showed and then was totally absent the whole time which I forgave because it was my fault for booking at a terrible time. ANYWAYS. Now we are nearly 6 weeks later and she said she was going to call her wholesaler and get bac to me IF she could get the flowers I wanted and then we'd talk, but I've heard nothing. I am getting married July 16th. How long should I give her to get back to me? I don't know if she forgot me again, or if this is normal...help? I think I'm maybe stressing over nothing (it happens a lot) but I need to hear it from somebody who's done this before.

You should call during business hours tomorrow.

That is excessive. She shouldn't be taking this long at all. Did you already get a quote? If not I would look at other florists.

First, I would call her.  Like you said you met with her at a really bad time.  Trust me, I worked in a florist and Valentines week and Mother's Day week are the worst time of the year for any florist.  Maybe you should just call her to remind her of your meeting and that you were hoping to hear something from her.  She may have just been so overwhelmed with the rest of Valentines Day week that she may have forgotten (which is easily forgiven due to the craziness of the holiday).  You still have plenty of time to get all of this figured out with your florist.  My wedding is also the 16th and I am not meeting with my florist until the end of April.  You just need to call her and ask her if she has spoken to her wholesaler...she probably just needs a little reminder.

No I didn't get a quote from her yet but that was because she had to check if she could even get the flowers I wanted. I called and left a message and my mother said she would stop in to check on it. Thanks so much.

The two florists my daughter and I talked to one worked up a quote before we left the shop.  The other florist emailed a quote within 1-2 days.  I would look at some other options for florists.  6 weeks is ridiculous because you are bringing her business.  I'd move on.

I passed up several florists who gave exorbitantly high proposal quotes until I found someone who was creative/talented, willing to work with my budget, and prompt.  I would start talking to other florists and ask if they can work with your budget and give you a proposal.  It is ridiculous that this florist hasn't given you a quote yet!
