MOB Gift

I have no idea what to get my mom for the wedding. I want something "wedding related" and I was thinking a book of our pictures afterwards, but I want to give her something before with all the BM and GM gifts. Any ideas?

I'm stumped on this one too. For FI's mom, I was thinking of getting her some sort of handmade pottery piece because she loves that stuff. But even then, I'm not sure if that's what we'll do.

I'm actually probably going to get my mom a gift certificate for a massage at a relaxing spa. She's put in so much work on this wedding, she deserves a little pampering!

We're getting both sets of parents a nice 8X10 frame and having them pick out their favorite wedding picture that we can have made for them.

We're getting MOB & MOG digital photo frames. It will start out with copies of the slide show and we will add wedding photos once we get them back.

I think we're getting the hinged 5x7 frames engraved with their wedding date on one side and ours on the other, with a pictures from their wedding and a picture from ours.

We also got our parents 8 x 10 frames. We are going to give them a picture after the wedding but for the presentation at the Rehearsal Dinner we are going to write them each a letter thanking them for everything they've done for us and for giving us such an amazing wedding and put the letter in the frame.

I got both of our moms nice albums that hold a couple hundred pictures. I put engagement pictures in the front of the album and the rest empty. I'll either give them digital copies to print which pictures they want or print a bunch for them after the wedding so that they can fill the rest of the album later. I thought that would give them something to look at when I give it to them other than an empty album or frame.

Wow, I'm really glad for this thread. Since FI's parent are divorced, we have 3 sets of parents to buy for, so we were trying to think of something that won't break the bank. I think an engraved picture frame with a wedding photo will be perfect. And I really like the idea of putting a letter in there to start.

Our wedding falls the day after his and my parents' anniversaries. So when we give gifts at the rehersal, we kind of wanted to tie it into that. I got an anniversary band for my mother, and a diamond pendant and right hand ring for his.

I like your idea of a photo album. That's what we plan to do. We're still going to give it at the rehearsal dinner (I like the idea of putting an engagement photo in it) and probably just take it away again that night to have it back so we can fill it once we get our pics. It's the gift I think they'll like the most and will want regardless of if I give it to them because they would just buy pics on their own if I didn't give it.
