Flower Girl Dresses

For those of you having flower girls where did you find the dress? I'm trying to find an affordable dress. I was thinking we could possibly wait till Easter/First Communion time to find a dress in a department store. Thoughts?

I got mine at David's Bridal. The one I chose is $99 and I have a 15% off coupon.
  • That is kind of what we did... I didn't want them to wear white.. but didn't like any of the dresses where my BM's got their dresses.

    I got these..

but they have a lot of other dresses.
  • I'm having two flower girls. The one has a first comminion dress already that I'm letting her use (because it's seriously perfect) and I'm going to talk to my BFF tonight about going this route for her boyfriend's daughter (the other FG). I'm going to buy yellow sashes from DB for them to wear with it.
  • We have two flower girls, my nieces, and I'm leaving it up to them and my sister to pick whatever they want to wear.  I think they're going with white or the same color as the bridesmaids but I know they'll both want different styles so we figured the easiest was to just let them pick.

I think going that route to get them cheaper would definitely be good!
  • We are having ours made.

  • The mom of mom got one I suggested from the bridal shop onion my town that went out of business. She got an Alfred Angelo dress for $49
  • David's Bridal has a good selection of cute dresses for a reasonable price. That is where my flower girl's got their dresses. And if you get your dress there, the entire wedding party gets a discount. Including the groom and groom's party, they get a discount through Men's Warehouse.

  • I don't have a flower girl, so I'm no help here. However, I would think an Easter dress or First communion dress would be perfect.

This is what I'll be doing.  My FG is so excited to go shopping for her dress but her parents don't have a ton of money.  This is the cheapest route I could find without buying her dress myself.

  • I'm pretty sure my FG (who's been in like 7 weddings) just got all of hers from Target or Kohl's. I'm buying her a navy blue sash from David's Bridal to wear and then just letting her wear one of her old dresses.
  • Target has an amazing and adorable selection of Easter dresses every year for $20-$50.  I'm waiting for them to come out and hitting the racks with my FSILs and their beautiful daughters :)  I'm keeping an eye on the Target website; last year I believe they came out around late February.
