Marriage Licence

My Fiance and I moved last December out of state... We now live in Myrtle Beach, SC and are getting married next month IN New Jersey. Would anyone know if we would be able to get the licence from SC or need one only from NJ?

    Since you no longer live in NJ you need to get your license from the town in NJ where the wedding will be. Keep in mind that there is a 72 hour wait. For if your wedding is Friday you must apply by Monday and if it's on the weekend you must apply by Tuesday.  You can not get one from SC.

    PP is right. Also, watch out for holiday weekends. My wedding is fri, oct 12th but that Monday (10/8) is a holiday so we have to get ours by 10/5.

    Our deacon at the church said we might be able to get one from SC because you are supposed to get it from the town the bride lives in.
